SCP
The Boxed Collection live project was launched in 2009 by SCP, a manufacturer and retailer of modern furniture based in London. The aim of the brief was to create a product small enough to be packaged into a box, that customers can purchase in store. The response to this brief is an ash wood sidetable with storage.
Dado joints will be used as part of the construction process, reinforced with screws. The dado is a groove cut across the width of one board to accept the end of another. This method gives a cleaner and more formal appearance.

Marble Run This group project was designed to encourage the use of CAD as the design industry relies heavily upon being able to use CAD models and technical drawings. The project centred around creating a marble run from three different materials - MDF, bluefoam and 3D printing.
Upcycled Light The task was to design and make original lighting out of waste materials. As designers we were challenged to think of rubbish not as worthless, but as a rich resource of unexplored opportunity.

The Samma Living in Small Spaces The brief was to design a living space / products for the young, mobile, urban dweller of the 21st century. The living space is limited to 15 square meters. You must also select a specific design challenge and develop an innovative product / solution in response to this need. Of the three challenges I chose entertainment - user lives alone and enjoys hosting gatherings of 4 - 6 people within their home

Could be the redesign of a current product Could include a packaging design Could include a supporting advertising campaign Could be purely decorative Could use sustainable materials
My final product concept will be inspired by perfume bottles that are designed with an experimental rather than literal form. They are designed with artistic influence, making them precious items. My aim is to imitate this perceived value by using intricate texture and form of the decorative bottles as a marketing tool to sell the product.
