Brewster graduates seniors June 5 Commencement ceremony planned for June 5 at school By Jennifer Marshall Special to The Chronicle BREWSTER — Brewster High School’s 2015 seniors will carry their class flower, red roses, in a processional down Memorial Field at 8 p.m. June 5 across from the high school, 503 S. Seventh St. Donning their class colors of red and white, the Gomez graduates will leave the commencement ceremony to Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb.”

Their class motto is by an unknown author: “Each of us has different talents, different dreams, and different destinations, but we all have the same power to make a new tomorrow.” The valedictorian is Jennifer Gomez, daughter of Elvia and Javier Gomez. Salutatorian is Adrian Mariscal, son of Pascual Mariscal Guzman and Esperanza Mariscal Arellano. Awards will be given out to the seniors at 1:30 p.m. June 4 in Champions Gym at the high school. Mansfield Class of 2015 is Mansfield’s 90th Seven seniors will graduate June 6 in the school gym The Chronicle MANSFIELD – The 90th commencement ceremony for Mansfield High School is set for 4 p.m. June 6 in the school gym, 491 Road 14 N.E. There’s no valedictorian, but the salutatorian is Lane Leonard, son of Douglas and Tina Poole and Stacy Leonard. After high school, he plans to attend the Diver’s Institute of Technology. Okanogan seniors graduate June 6 Wisdom of Milne’s Pooh characters inspires class motto The Chronicle OKANOGAN – Okanogan High School seniors are drawing on the wisdom of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin for their class motto as they graduate June 6. “Always remember; you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think,” from the A.A. Milne classic “Winnie the Pooh” are watchwords for the class of 2015. Commencement starts at 5 p.m. in Dawson Gym, 244 S. Fifth Ave.

The ceremony includes processional and recessional music by the school band, speeches by class academic leaders, comments from Superintendent Richard Kent Johnson, and announcement of awards and scholarships. C0-valedictorians are Satya Kent and Nathan Linklater. Kent is the daughter of Gordon Kent and Andrea Black. She plans to attend Bowdoin College and major in environmental studies.

Linklater’s parents are Chad Linklater and Susan Lawver. He plans to attend Stanford University and major in management science and engineering. Tonasket honors three top graduates Commencement ceremony planned for June 6 in the school gymnasium The Chronicle TONASKET – Commencement will be at 2 p.m. June 6 in the Tonasket High School gym, 30 state Highway 20. Leading up to the seniors’ final ceremony will be baccalaureate at 7 p.m. June 3 at the Foursquare Church, 4 Ellisforde Church Road, and the senior breakfast at 7 a.m. June 3 in the Youth Center off state Highway 20 near the school. For graduation, school board members Catherine Stangland and Ernesto Cerrillo will hand out diplomas.
