Volunteers serve pie and ice cream during the 2013 Pateros Apple Pie Jamboree. Although the community took its lumps in July 2014 when the Carlton Complex fire roared through town, townsfolk want people to know they — like others in the fire area — are on the rebound and ready to greet visitors. The jamboree will be back in July 2015.            
