PHOTOGRAPHY
2014-2015
This collection of my personal photos want to be a track (probably the last) of the great old village Nga Tsin Wai, which is now just the shadow of what it was. Unfortunately there will be soon no more track of it, inasmuch the government decided to demolish the entire village. Hence, my decision to create this short collection, divided in three different sections : SHADOW AND LIGHT-LIFE-HERITAGE. I want to dedicate this work to the villagers. They have demonstrated a great strength of resistance, despite all the problems of their daily life. I have to say that is quite unbelievable that they decided to demolish it without considered to re-give a new life to this place. For sure it was impossible to accept that condition of living, but at the same time i think that it is appropriate to maintain track of the oldest village of Hong Kong. Nga Tsin Wai was the main pillar of the heritage of Hong Kong. I hope that my short research will help someone in the future.
