President’s Message—Joanne Moul Care Amiche, Come state? Spero stiate bene! So now you are wondering why your crazy president is writing in Italian. This is March, after all: the month of the Irish, St. Patrick’s Day, leprechauns and pots of gold. Well, my friends, this year the Irish leprechauns are in cahoots with the Little Ol’ Italian wine maker and that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow will be found on April 4 at Campo di Bocce! There is magic being created for Catala members: scrumptious meals for your culinary delight, creative auction packages to beguile your senses, and most importantly, the sense of well
being that accompanies camaraderie with fellow Bronco supporters. And, (read in Irish brogue, please,) if it be gamin’ you’d be wantin’, well, a game of bocce is just what you’d be needin’. But don’t depend on the leprechauns to help you with your game. You will have to win with skill and a bit of the Irish luck, as well. I can’t think of a better place to be on Monday evening, April 4, than at Campo di Bocce with family and good friends. I hope you agree. And a big thank you to all our members who responded to the nomination questionnaire. (I really do know how to spell
“questionnaire”!) Your responses will make it possible for the nominating committee to assemble a slate of prospective board members who are willing to assume a leadership role in Catala. If you haven’t already sent in your response, it’s not too late. The vote on the new board will take place at our luncheon meeting on March 16. These are exciting days for Catala. We are working hard, having fun, and preparing for a new year, all with our students in mind. We never forget that supporting them is what we do best.

good news all around. We all know of course that such progress doesn't happen automatically. Many people made that happen, including all of us in the Catala Club. But we should remember too that there is another force bringing all this about and that is the goodness of God. He hears our prayers and moves beside us in all our efforts to help various students in
their different needs. It's quite likely too that Fr. Catala is petitioning God on our behalf. So as we move into the current year we should all feel good and grateful, because nothing worthwhile really happens without support and blessings from above. William F. Donnelly, S.J Chaplain

Top O’ the Mornin’ To You,
Chaplain’s Message—William F. Donnelly, S.J. The other day our President, Fr.
