Motion Sensing Street Lighting

Maximum Safety Minimal Energy

Safety through good lighting, when and where it is needed.

Comlight has developed a patented Motion Sensing Street Lighting system that reduces the wasteful consumption of energy without compromising the safety.

PLACEMENT OF OUR MOTION SENSING STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM

The system is based on radar detection and automatically activates the lights as soon as there is movement in the area, providing full light ahead and dims down for energy saving when there is no one around. The technology saves considerable amounts of energy without compromising the safety.

Comlight gives you motion based lighting; when and where it is needed.

Our lighting system is activated by an object’s movement, literally lighting up it’s path ahead.

PERSONAL SAFETY

For us at Comlight, the

Traffic safety is improved on

question is how to solve the

well-lit roads. The sense of

problem of pointless energy

safety and security is increased

waste involved in fully

in well-lit public spaces. Good

illuminating roads at times

and public spaces when not in use.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY Changes caused by humans are disturbing the delicate, vital balance of our ecosystem. A steady increase in light pollution is undoubtedly playing a role. Long before night falls, the lights are lit. This is completely unnatural. According to researchers it affects animals’ behaviour and may in time cause serious disturbances to the ecosystem. As a rule, when the sun goes down the light levels should do the same. This is good for biodiversity, good for the climate and good for the environment.

COMLIGHT PARAMETER SETTINGS The parameter settings can control for example: • Lighting at road junctions, e.g. all lights at the junction illuminate at high intensity when pedestrian or vehicle movement is detected • The light intensity of individual luminaire (from high to low) • Settings for rush-hour traffic, e.g. temporary high level intensity at pre-set times of day • Temporary adjustments of the light intensity at pre-set times of day, e.g. during rush-hour traffic
