he idea of the project is to design
of a housing complex with the social facilities alongside a stream dealing with three interacting subjects: conceptual framework, site related information and architectural program. Conceptual framework of the project is could be drawn through applying sustainable design principles leading to a smart architecture. This project is designed for the kind of catastrophic future which will occur in 50 years or so. It is intended to be self sustaining colony like campus with multilayered program consists of residential, social, agricultural spaces together for future generations. It created to care for features of smart architecture and find out new forms of waterfront dwelling to cater for the desires of postmodern day people with differing needs and expectations.

*Goodbye World: We’ve Passed the Carbon Tipping Point For Good “According to Scripps Institution of Oceanography, atmospheric carbon level past 400 parts per million permanently. What are the effects? Extinction 10,000 species could become extinct every year. One fourth of Earth’s species could become extinct before 2050. Food chain disruption Inextricably tied to extinction, food chains are likely to become permanently unbalanced Rising sea levels Ancient glaciers begin to melt and coastlines will flood. By 2100, approximately 13 million people in the US are projected to lose their homes due to rising sea levels. Ocean acidification and coral bleaching The planet’s oceans are absorbing excess CO2, literally acidifying the water. It will be the end of ocean ecosystem and underwater-life. *Retrieved from motherboard.vice.com

Lake shore. Eymir is a small lake at the Southern border of the Ankara. The exact place of the site located at the middle of the Eymir. It is located on the sloppy area and because of the dominant rock existing at the site, the site is named as “The Rock. // The site has a good view of both side of the Eymir. // It allows to make observations on site.

Initial concept And design process
In the initial stages of the project my examinations on the topography shows that there was a golden ratio in the plan of topography. If the golden rectangle is created by using half of the border rectangle the rock fits in the inner golden rectangle. This idea is used to tame the topography and create references for placing spaces and structures. Important factors of the placement are the light, sun, vista and topographical conditions. The structures are also perpendicular to the main axis of golden

The circulation of golden rectangle which starts from the rock creates a metaphor between the place of the project which is genius loci, concept of time and the function of the building.

Linear quality of the elements used to create flow of spaces and continuous circulation. By doing that keeping the balance between spaces, structure and topography; also, in the plan and the section of the project caused some broad considerations. While differentiating the spaces main idea of it is the creating different spaces for different purposes and functions in a relation of relevant subjects and the context.

The buildings central area is designed as multifunctional area for various events. Ä°t is also used continuously for the exhibitions of Eymir People can easily come and see this exhibition which shows the time-line of the Eymir lake changes and differentiations by time such as some lost animals and plants.
And at that area the view of Eymir also becomes a one part of that exhibition. So it creates an indirect contact between the visitors, the exhibition and the beauty of the Eymir.

//Habitat - natural home or environment of an animal, plant or another organism
//Central to the idea of the social condenser is the premise that architecture has the ability to influence social behaviour.
//The intention of the social condenser was to influence the design of public spaces, with a goal of breaking down perceived social hierarchies in an effort to create socially equitable spaces.

SITE
•
Main aim of the project is understanding the essential aspects of architectural design: program [–spatial strategy], site [–an urban condition] and tectonics [-art of construction and expression]; it emphasizes a creative architectural design thinking through the dynamic interplay of these aspects. Project topic concentrates on architect’s responsibility on environmental, cultural and socioeconomic sustainability. Having firmly committed to this responsibility, it explores current possibilities, modes and qualities of spatial production.
Program The Intention of the project is design of an urban [vocational] institute bounding with a new social program including atelier culture, social clubs/hubs and housing commune, which could bring different layers of everyday life cycles.

Atelier and welcoming spaces which are public characteristics located in industrial side and through the BOSTAN privacy became more important so residential units and social hubs organized in that part with green areas. All these structures are supported by ramps between upper and lower levels to be able to use by people who have special needs with providing visual and experimental connections. Ramps and galleries are continuous in both indoor and outdoor spaces to create spatial continuity. In the meantime, while designing master-plan solid and void spaces are balanced by taking into consideration of harmony between open, semi-open, and closed spaces. The contextuality was provided with the language of structures with focusing on planarity and consistency with its surrounding. Besides angular axis, similar elements to pedestrian ways in different levels are used to show an alternative way to monotonous buildings around the site. HABITAT - SOCIAL CONDENSER I

Left part of the atelier is administrative part which is 6 storey height , it is combined with the offices meeting rooms and the classrooms. However the right part is the production part with 3 storeys. This area is reserved for the ateliers amphitheatre, trial areas, classroom and the canteen. Circulation of the production part is supported with the continuous ramp related with the continuous gallery to the upper floors. With the help of section differentiation this ramp is works within half floors and this half floor organization is used to connect and create the amphitheatres section. These two different parts of the atelier are connected at the 3rd floor and it is served as a connection and also creates a trial track for biomedical products.

ousing commune of this project is a trial to enhance residential quality of the
users and create equal living opportunities for the different parts of the society. The intention is to break down individualism promote communal living, at the same time dealing with the contradictions of site and the location. This contrast and contradictions are used in the design with inventive ways of space production. Different layers of the building is connected via ramps and half floors. Building creates both open and closed spaces continuously.

Reprogramming an Urban Field: Landscape Design Strategies to “Atakule”
“People tended to think of path destinations and origin points: they liked to know where paths come from and where they led. Paths with clear and well-known origins and destinations had stronger identities…” (Lynch, Kevin, «The Image of the City», p.54)
“Views can, by turns, be concealed and revealed, unfolding or unrolling, creating anticipation, surprise, and a setting for a thrilling arrival. The landscape is dynamic, cinematic and panoramic.” (Waterman 2009, 94)

takule is one of the most important landmarks of the city. It is a 125 m high
tower located in the district of Çankaya. It has a great importance in the image of the city, because it is identifiable from almost anywhere in the city. Given site is the Botanik Park which is located nearby the Atakule. Botanik Park was established between Çankaya Caddesi and Cinnah Caddesi on an area of 65000 m² in 1970. There are various embassy buildings and 4-6 storey buildings for residential and business purposes around the park.
