BOP Week will take p lace May 29 -31 , 201 2 and is expected to b e a venue ma rked by topical discussions rela ted to priva te s ector solu tions to pov erty challenges and doing business a t the base o f the py ramid. On May 29 t h the IDB and the Global Impact In vesting Network (GIIN) host the Impact Investing Forum . This Forum will provide an overview of the curren t impac t investing ma rket, including the social and environmen tal se ctors tha t a re successf ully receiving impac t inves tmen t today. To build on the discussion from previous years, on May 30 t h OMJ will host a selected group o f people for the fou rth ve rsion of the Stra tegic Partners Dialogue*. This executive level mee ting b rings toge ther though t leaders from the academic, corporate, media, financial, and non -profi t worlds all interested in the conversation of mark et -based solu tions to poverty . This year’s Dialogue will focus on how policy innovation can catalyze and scale ma rket ba sed solutions t o pove rty challenges with a spe cial emphasis on b ro adband connectivi ty a nd hou sing. Attendan ts to the Client Workshop and Study Cases on May 31 s t will participate in a dynamic half-day session on three of OMJ’s mos t su ccessful cases in reaching scale. EPM in Colombia, Tenda Atacado in Brazil, and Mi Tienda in Mexico have been selected with the in tent of engaging participants on innova tive ways in which private secto r solu tions can address poverty challenges. The Workshop aims at promoting cross -lea rn ing be tween the case study projects; provide feedback on ways they can increase their impact an d, explore how the solutions presen ted can be scaled, replicated and adap ted in o th er ope rations .
