Season seven. Time flies. We’re in a rhythm now. No more factory rebuilds. Production’s dialed. Employees trained. Cruising now. Everyone has their priorities, their reasons; the things they think about day and night. Ours remain the same. Every ski matters. Splits hairs make a difference the minutia that separates today’s progress from yesterday’s failures. We have to admit: we’re obsessed. Materials, time, craftsmanship - they fill the waking hours of each and every day. We remember every pair that goes out the door from the bamboo splinters in our cuticles and the sweat on our brow. Our skis do the talking. It’s easier that way. Less talking, more skiing. We can live with that. Who builds your skis? — Scott

PRESTER For the park purist, those who scoff at rockered park skis and want the longest effective edge and as much camber as they can get, we offer the Prester. As our only model without tip & tail rocker, the Prester’s purpose is simple - provide the most stable and responsive park ski available, in a package that maintains the damp but responsive characteristics present in all of our skis. Our 100% bamboo core combined with top & bottom full length carbon stringers and a healthy dose of camber result in the most poppy ski we make, while the 2.5mm x 2.5mm edges ensure a long life for skiers spending most of their time on rails.

FILTHY RICH Now in its fifth season, the Filthy Rich continues as our flagship park ski. For 15/16, the Filthy Rich received a minor update to its sidecut and tip & tail dimensions to make it easier to carve into features, while retaining the elliptical sidecut design that allows it to remain stable when riding in and out of features at high speed. Its elliptical rocker profile enables the skier to butter with ease, while retaining the stiffness required for a stable landing platform, and allows for the tips & tails to easily clear park features during switch ups on rails and boxes. Most importantly, our 2.5mm x 2.5mm edges provide the Filthy Rich with considerably more life for skiers who are spending their days on their rail game.

KARTEL 98 / KARTEL 106 From the streets of Sarajevo, the summer parks of Timberline, or the backcountry booters of Idaho, Karl Fostvedt has put the Kartel series through its paces and the skis keep coming back for more. The Elliptical Sidecut allows the skis to easily carve in and out of features, while the Elliptical Rocker Profile helps to mellow out big landings and provide float when the snow gets deep. For those not interested with their in-air performance, the Kartels remain stable and responsive all-mountain performers and are the everyday skis of each employee here at ON3P. Everyone wants to ski like Karl, but really, this is as close are you are going to get. For those wanting more park performance, or more suited to a sub-100mm waist, the Kartel 98 offers a slightly tighter turn radius, decreased swing weight, and a slightly rounder flex. For those wanting a stronger all-mountain performer, or a wider platform for backcountry booters, the Kartel 106 offers more float and stability.

Not all wide jib skis are made the same. If you’re looking for the same floppy tipped powder skis offered by other brands, look elsewhere. The Jeffrey series is designed for the freeride-minded skier who wants his soft snow skis to have a backbone, who understands that stability is an ally, and who can’t worry about their skis failing along the way. Their progressive mount ensures the skis are balanced in the air, while the Elliptical Tip & Tail Rocker keeps the skis afloat whichever way you're skiing. For more versatility, hard pack performance, and less swing weight, the Jeffrey 114 is a perfect everyday ski for the West Coast. For improved float and maneuverability in Powder, the Jeffrey 122 gets the call. Choose your weapon depending on how deep your snowpack is, or how big you go.

CEASE + DESIST Sometimes you just need to bring out the big guns. The Cease & Desist is for the dream days - the days when you can’t breath, can’t see, and can’t stop smiling. Featuring RES, a pintail design, and a rocker profile we readily admit is ridiculous, the Cease & Desist is designed for the deepest days and fastest speeds. A stiff flex keeps the ski stable at speed and ensures that the tips can be driven hard but will never fold. To keep the skis light on your feet, we utilize our Tour Layup, featuring full-width carbon fiber sheets above and below the core, and a thinner core profile. When it’s deep, there is no ski we would rather be on.

BILLY GOAT Bring havoc to your local stand of old growth with the Billy Goat, our take on the best way to smear and slash through your next powder day. We’ve kept the surf-y goodness of the RES and the stable, all-mountain flex, while updating the Billy Goat’s size range and incorporating a modified tail shape. The principles that have defined the Billy Goat remain the same. RES allows the Billy Goat to smear and dump speed with ease, while maintaining the stability and edge hold to get to and from the lift. A subtle pintail design increases tip float and results in a highly maneuverable tail, while the Elliptical Rocker Profile ensures the tips always stay on top of the snow.

Wrenegade 102 / Wrenegade 112 Back for its second year, the Wrenegade 102 & Wrenegade 112 remain our best options for those looking for a directional daily driver. Both models feature a Bi-Radius Sidecut design, allowing the skis to run straighter than their turn radius suggests, but then quickly engage as soon as the ski is rolled on edge. Our Elliptical Rocker Profile keeps the tips above the chunder, while a touch of tail rocker allows the tails to pivot and dump speed when needed. For those up for it, the Wrenegade 112’s speed limit is only limited by your courage, and is a fantastic platform for those at bigger mountains like Jackson, Squaw, or Alta. For those looking for a more versatile daily driver, the smaller turn radius and rounder flex of the Wrenegade 102 is the way to go.

Built for the natural cathedrals of the world, the Steeple series brings freeride performance to the deep corners of the backcountry. RES results in a catchfree ride in soft snow, allowing the skis to smear and change direction with ease. With full-width carbon around a 100% bamboo core, our Tour Layup cuts grams while retaining the assertive downhill performance that is the hallmark of our brand. The modified tail shape ensures your skins stay on, with an inset edge to provide long term durability. Take the Steeple 112 a ridge further for midwinter smoke. Harass Cascade volcanoes on the Steeple 102 in May. Get up. Get up. Then get down.

JESSIE 86 / JESSIE 100 / JESSiE 112
TA P ER ed tip
Ladies, we’ve landed. The Jessie series represents our overture to the fairer side of the chairlift with no sacrifices or flowery nonsense. We’ve translated three of our best performing skis - the Filthy Rich, Kartel 106, and Jeffrey 114 in femme-fresh designs featuring a bit more sidecut and a slightly rounder flex profile. Otherwise, all our usual confidences are there: 1.8mm 4001 Durasurf base, 2.5mm x 2.5mm edges, UHMW sidewalls, full length carbon stringers, and our 100% bamboo core, ensuring that the skis retain the damp, stable, and responsive qualities ON3P is known for.
ROCK ER L ENG T H 4 0.5 cm
For killing it in the terrain park, the Jessie 86 is the ticket. For a stable all mountain ski that is also capable of riding switch and hitting features, the Jessie 100 is ready to go. Lastly, for days when the snow is deep, we’ve made sure to include some width and offer the Jessie 112.

CONSTRUCTION Bamboo Cores The heart of every pair of ON3P skis is a FSC-certified, vertically laminated, 100% bamboo core. Bamboo provides a responsive, yet damp characteristic to our skis that we have grown to love. Our core shape gives the ski strength where it needs it, better resisting bending and breaking. Bamboo is also a quick growing, environmentally-friendly grass. For 15/16, ON3P has made the change to an improved bamboo material, resulting in a 10% decrease in core weight.
Unidirectional Carbon Stringer Each ski incorporates unidirectional carbon around the core, adding pop, stiffness, and dampness without any significant increase in weight.
1.8mm 4001 Durasurf Sintered Base Our Durasurf 4001 base material provides our skis with better glide and protection from damage compared to any other sintered and extruded base material, and is 38% thicker than the industry standard. To ensure each ski is ready to go out of the wrapper, every pair of ON3P’s receives a four-hour hotbox treatment
2.5mm x 2.5mm Extra Thick Edges We use a 3/4 wrap for our 2.5mm x 2.5mm Rockwell 48 steel edges. The 3/4 wrap allows the tips and tails of the skis to flex, decreasing the risk of delamination.

Tri-Axial Fiberglass 19oz or 22oz Tri-axial Fiberglass provides torsional and longitudinal stiffness, ensuring proper edge hold and power transfer.
VDS (Vibration Dampening Strips) VDS rubber is applied to the edges & sidewalls, acting as a shear layer that provides improved bonding strength and vibration dampening.
UHMW Sidewalls and Tip Spacers UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is an incredibly strong material, has a higher abrasion resistance than steel, and resists cracking (unlike ABS).
Extra Wide Binding Mat An additional layer of fiberglass mat provides increased screw retention and prevents pullouts. To ensure proper coverage for all types of hole patterns, we run our binding full width on every ski we make. Our binding mat also features double-bias fiberglass, increasing torsional stiffness underfoot.

DESIGN AND TECH Tour Layup: A optional, redesigned, thinner core profile supported with additional layers of full-width carbon fiber results in light weight, tour-oriented ski.
Elliptical Rocker Profile The rocker profile and tip shape are combined into one progressively changing elliptical arc, which allows the tips to plane faster in powder, deflect less in variable snow, and helps the effective edge running within the rocker length to engage in a more natural, effortless way.
Elliptical Sidecut The sidecut consists of an elliptical arc that begins at boot center and gets progressively smaller as it extends toward the tip and tail of the ski, resulting in a ski that carves harder the more it is put on edge, yet remains stable when it is skied flat.
Bi-Radius Sidecut The sidecut consists of a smaller turn radius in the tip that works that in conjunction with a larger turn radius in the tail, creating a directional ski that is stable going straight, but will easily carve once the turn is initiated and the ski is on edge.
Reverse Elliptical Sidecut “RES Explained in detail to the right.
35
+++
R.E.S. Reverse Elliptical Sidecut, or "RES", can be explained best by first discussing the shape of the ski in front of and behind boot center, and then discussing how the two parts of the ski work together. Two separate sidecut profiles begin at boot center and extend towards the ends of the ski. From boot center towards the tail of the ski, a traditional sidecut design with a large turning radius offers the benefits of a traditional pintail design. The large radius is slow to engage, allowing the skier to easily change direction and dump speed, and helps the tail sink in soft snow, enhancing the ski tip’s ability to float.
In fron t of B oo t Cen ter : L ONG, CON V E X , EL L IP T IC A L SIDECU T
From boot center towards the nose of the skis, the sidecut design features a large, convex, elliptical arc that runs to the tip taper. The elliptical nature of the arc allows for a smooth transition between the different tip and tail sidecut. The utilization of this more gradual section of the elliptical arc allows for the section of the ski that bears the most weight — directly underfoot — to be very straight. Soft snow, crud, and other snow conditions that are often able to manipulate the sidecut of traditional skis have very little effect on skis featuring RES as there almost no sidecut shape to the ski for the snow to engage and deflect. It is no secret that skis featuring reverse sidecut designs rip in soft snow and deep powder. They float well and are often more maneuverable than other large powder skis. Limitations are reached when a reverse sidecut ski encounters hardpack or groomed runs. When an RES ski is angulated and engages in a turn on hardpack or groomers, the nature of the elliptical arc and its orientation relative to the snow surface allows for almost the entire edge to engage and maintain a solid edge grip through the turn, much like any "traditional" ski shape. Furthermore, the reverse elliptical arc allows the tips to create a well defined contact zone with the snow, which results in an excellent edge hold at the ends of the effective edge throughout any radius turn. As the tip bites into the snow, the traditional sidecut in the tail functions just as it would in any other ski; the sidecut allows the ski to flex and engage the edge as a section of an arc to produce a carved turn. These two zones work together to create an arc that can carve and hold an edge as well as any ski with a more traditional sidecut design. RES combines the best of both worlds — skis with our RES design have all the advantages of increased float, maneuverability, and shredability exhibited by many of the completely reverse sidecut skis on the market, but does so without sacrificing edge hold, stability, and hardpack performance, creating a ski that is truly ready to take you wherever you want to go.
