Black History Month: Onata Acknowledges the Contributions of the African American Community to the Society
As we draw closer to the far end of celebrating the Black History Month, it’s a great time to reflect upon the relevance, contributions, and aspirations of the black community in America. The release of Black Panther was perhaps the most fitting tribute to the Black History Month in ages. It was perhaps the tribute that came a century too late. Onata salutes the efforts and contributions of black community leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Phillis Wheatley (18th-century poet), Norbert Rilleaux (inventor of the multiple-effect evaporator), Frances Harper (social activist), Bessie Coleman (first licensed black engineer of the world), and Thurgood Marshall (first black Supreme Court Jurist). As an ecosystem for the Universe of Services, Onata recognizes the contribution of every citizen of the community in creating, nurturing, and in many ways, reigniting the American Dream. We truly believe that social bridging between communities and people at large is possible when we become of service to one another.
Onata is amped up to launch the Onata Neighborhood Service – a unique ecosystem where we can provide, share, and care for our neighbors by exchanging small and large services among members of our Trusted Neighborhood. As ambitious as our idea is, we realize that it will only come to fruition by the participation of every individual of the society – irrespective of their race, sex, background, income, philosophy, and even political inclination.
With Onata, Everybody is a Provider Our mission of social bridging requires us to go above and beyond turning ourselves into a successful startup. We are looking at something much larger here – empowering every member of every community to become serviceable to the community around them. Onata Co-founder Jyoti Vazirani puts it this way: “No one needs to be a “pro” at anything to lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need. All you need is an intent to serve and a well-knit community that has each other’s back.” It is this core belief that motivated Jyoti to conceptualize the neighborhood service. Let’s Give Back As we remember the heroes of the past, it is our honor and privilege to create opportunities for every community whose hearts and souls are interwoven into our culture. We invite the participation of every American to give back to the society. Onata is the first of its kind on-demand services app that allows neighbors to provide services for price or pride.
We firmly believe that Onata is the idea whose time has come. Help us help your neighborhood by signing up for the Onata Neighborhood Service. Once again, we thank the black community for their rich contributions to the American society and culture. #blackpanther, #blackpanther, #blackhistorymonth, #africanamericans, #blackheritagemonth, , #blackhistory, #onatawithblacks, #blackcontribution, #myblackisbeautiful, #blackpride, #blackmagic, #black, #blackculture, #africa, #afrofuturism
