THE SHOPPING STREET SMÍCHOV Programme: Complex design Location: Smíchov, Prague Diploma project ST 2017
The subject of the diploma thesis is an examination of the possibility of creating viable shopping district in brownfield area of railway station Smíchov in connection to the Radlická Valley. The aim of the design is to create a structure that would be based on the short distance city principle, that favours pedestrians as well as cyclists. This layout should intensify density, multifunctionality and blending all of urban functions and activities. At the same time it meets the standards for technological service and allows as much flexibility as possible. According to this principles was created compact structure which complements urban area. This block mass is based on technical background and garages. Commerce level is split by several passages leading to the urban destination. Onto this level are masses of the building which should be designed by individual architects.

VISON FLUTES Programme: Bunker conversion Location: Yilan, Taiwan Team: Čáp, Fišerová, Jezbera Competition 2016
Yilan County is the region in the northeastern part of island. It is situated by the coast of the Pacific ocean, in the middle of the river valley. There are lots of farm villages situated on the road, which goes around the island. Nowadays this road lost its significance. The villages began to decline. Another disadvantage for this settlement is that there is no direct connection between village and ocean. There is a protective hill. So you can’t noticed that you are very close to the ocean although you stand several meters far. This is the reason why there is not so much tourists. Our proposal is to create the points of interest which will attract the tourists and the public and show that there is happening something extraordinary. We also want to solve the problem of the bad view from the cycle path. This is the reason why we decided to put the collection of the towers on this place.

PET TREE Programme: Temporary structure of christmas tree Location: Prague, CZ Team Pet Mat Design studio WT 2015
The PetTree project had two main purposes – be a complex project – in a way that we, as a students will experience the whole process – from sketching to actual building. It also convert used pet bottles from waste to a constructional material. The finished structure was a result of cooperation of architecture, civil engineering and electro engineering students. Single panels were made by elementary and high school students that we personally instructed. We choose the dome structural principle, as we wanted the bottles to be the actual load-bearing element. At the end, we use six thousands of them. The constructions itself took almost four days for twelve people and one sky lift.

THE MARINA Programme: Yacht club Location: Stéblová, CZ Freelance architect 2015 - ongiong
The peninsula Marina has great potential to become important recreation and sport area because of its position which is close to two big cities Hradec Králové and Pardubice. Pond Oplatil is unique because is large enough to do yachting. This site is a brownfield. In last century it was industrial area of sand extraction and production of the concrete. From this era remained the old shed. Main idea was to create nature area with consonance between surrounding nature and new objects.Building are wooden structures with simple design. Between old hall and new club house is watchtower to connect old and new and to highlight areal for people around. Watchtower is designed as a tribune for watching yacht races. Marina is recreational area, campsite and yacht club.

BLACK N’ ARCH STUDIO Programme: Interior Location: Prague 13, CZ Black n’ Arch 2018 Role: Cooperation on design phase Award: Meeting Room 2018 (Small Office) The interior design of the Black n’ Arch studio is based on a scenographic approach to same. The basic element is the colour black, which evokes a sense of an effect in a theatre space. The sub-equipment’s spot lighting enhances the perception of the furniture as theatrical scenery. A no less significant detail of the studio is the Roxor jungle, in which the colours of greenery and light wood intertwine.

TOP TOWER Programme: Location: Prague 13 Black n’ Arch 2019 Role: Leading project architect Published: Dezeen, Designboom, CNN, RESITE 2019 A red shipwreck crashes into this highrise, which Black n’ Arch and sculptor David Černý have designed for developer Trigema on the outskirts of Prague. The shipwreck will envelop the 135-metre-high building, named Top Tower, which is expected to become the tallest building in Czech Republic and contain a mix of housing and office spaces. Its striking form is designed by Black n’ Arch and sculptor Černý to serve as a stark reminder of climate change – imagining a future where a shipwreck has collided with a building during an apocalypse caused by storms and rising sea levels.

MUNICIPALITY DEVELOPMENT Programme: Housing and health center Location: Nový Hradek, CZ Black n’ Arch 2020 Role: Participant of the design proces The proposal analyses the functioning of the town as a wider whole, and defines the plan’s boundaries and the territory’s future character. It defines the purpose of use and form of development of the land. Given the position in relation to the town, it should be an active, public environment; the main role here should be played by polyfunctionality, and the main emphasis should be placed on interconnection with other important public spaces. The two-material design defines a new area which has the potential to become a new, important public space. The design places two traditional-sized houses in the same ground plan footprint that the original shelter house had. The houses have one basement, two standard floors and two floors in the loft. The structure’s height does not exceed that of the current apartment building, and the heights of the individual floors reflect both residential needs and those of the health centre. The facade replicates the original building, and is preserved in its earlier form. The new function will manifest itself in the old where necessary. The sizes of the openings respect the character of the listed historical core.
The project is located in historically listed area

MONINEC Programme: Hotel reconstruction Location: Moninec, CZ Black n’ Arch 2021 Role: Leading project architect The concept of the project is based on the connection of the existing volumes of hotel Montana and Javorka and organized them together with a new capacity into one functional complex. The idea, how to extend the capacity of the hotel and create a multifunctional conference hall and wellness, is using a heavy stone pedestal, which unifies old and new. Project cleanses existing structures and renews their facades. In the gaps between are added new light pavilions with flat roofs, which are in the contrast with existing buildings representing traditional mountain architecture. For facades are used traditional local materials such as stone and wood.
