Making a swift decision
Time to get a move on?
House hunters take just 27 minutes on average to make up their mind to buy a property, a survey has found. If you’re living in London but want a better life in the countryside then here’s how you can do it
W
hen it comes to obtaining a better quality of life, escaping the frenetic pace and expense of city living are two key changes you can make. The obvious way to do this, of course, is by getting a bigger house for a lot less money if you move out of London and into the provinces. It’s a well-known fact that home owners living in the capital can trade in their often cramped and costly apartment or upgrade a tiny
terrace for a much bigger property if they decide to buy outside London. But many would-be buyers are put off doing so as they may be unfamiliar with certain areas or whether they can easily commute to and from their jobs. Then, of course, there’s the issue of finding the best town or village to suit your school or social life. And that’s where this publication comes in: The Kent Commuter aims to inform those who are considering a move out of London and down into West
Kent of the best areas to choose for their specific needs and to illustrate the types of properties that will suit each individual’s criteria best – whether that’s a coastal cottage in Whitstable, a smart town house in Sevenoaks or a large family period property in Tunbridge Wells. This first issue of The Kent Commuter also provides those hoping to relocate outside of the capital with valuable insights into where’s best to move if excellent education, a fantastic sporting
scene or an impressive mix of culture and café society are all top of your checklist. In addition there are also sections on where’s best to buy now, as well as plenty of useful and practical information on everything from commuting times to annual rail fares. You’ll also find all the latest property news, so if you’re reading this and want to make that move you can do so with confidence and knowledge on where to go next…
Get your home connected Virgin Media announced last month that homes and businesses in Kent will be next to benefit from an ultrafast broadband and entertainment boost.
