From humble beginnings and a lofty vision, we founded ONEHOPE on one simple idea: that great wine can change the world. In 2007, my fellow Co-Founders Jake, Tiffany, Sarah, Tom, Brandon and I started selling and delivering cases of ONEHOPE out of the back of a pickup truck. Little by little, case by case, we shared our wine and gave hope to causes around the world. Looking back at those early days to now, so much has changed.. and yet it hasn’t. Our purpose to nourish the future, to build a better world for our children and generations to come, has always been at the heart of our business. The only difference between then and now is that our brand has a place to call home. Grit and determination landed us a prime location for our new winery on Highway 29, a beacon of hope nestled in the heart of Napa Valley.

While 2020 was a remarkably difficult year, I am personally so proud and inspired by our community for uniting together as a force for good, giving hope to people and causes when they needed it most. Because when hope is in the equation, the odds don’t matter. As we head into 2021, the ONEHOPE foundation will focus on nourishing the future by funding sustainable projects centered around food, water, health and education. We believe everyone should have access to life’s most basic needs. We invite you to take a seat at our table and join us. SHARE WINE. GIVE HOPE. NOURISH THE FUTURE.

Kristen Shroyer

Executive Director, The ONEHOPE Foundation Co-Founder, ONEHOPE

ONEHOPE’S COVID-19 Response When the world went into lockdown, our community turned in-person wine tasting fundraisers into fun and virtual experience. Together, we shared wine and gave hope to over 7,000 local nonprofits across the country through virtual wine tasting fundraisers. Additionally, we were able to raise over $13,000 for the COVID-19 Response Fund through hosted events.

Restaurant and hotel closures put millions of hard-working hospitality workers out of work, many of them mothers. The ONEHOPE Foundation funded $60,000 in microgrants to mothers in this industry to ensure they could get immediate access to funds for money and basic necessities. From a mother of a 7-month old baby: “In such a trying time, this is a beautiful glimmer of positivity” From a mother of a 2-year old who needed more diapers: “I cannot begin to express how much the kindness of your grant meant to me. It changed my whole attitude and I am so grateful.”

We sent 900 care packages to Healthcare Heroes on the frontline of the pandemic. These heroes, nominated by our customers and Community, received ONEHOPE kitchen pasta sauces and marinades for a quick and nourishing meal on us. Each package was accompanied by comforting and easy recipes from the ONEHOPE test kitchen in Napa Valley. “I have never received such a thoughtful gift in the 30 years that I have been a nurse.” Barbara, Phoenix, AZ.

We gave hope to over 2,500 engaged couples whose weddings were cancelled or negatively affected by the pandemic by giving over $60,000 in wine credit and the chance to win several amazing prizes, including a honeymoon at our Napa Valley Estate.

Each year during our ONEHOPE Vacation incentive trip (awarded to the top achievers in our cause entrepreneur community) we do a local impact activity. When this year’s trip to Playa Del Carmen was cancelled, we still wanted to continue our local impact tradition. A city fueled by tourism, Playa Del Carmen saw tremendous joblessness, felt most severely among those already living on margins with no safety net. The ONEHOPE Foundation donated grocery gift cards, providing a week’s worth of groceries to 38 families in need.

This June marked the 50th anniversary of Pride Month. We celebrated virtually by sharing wine and giving hope to the Trevor Project, an organization committed to supporting the mental health of LGBTQ youth. The ONEHOPE Foundation proudly donated $10,000 to this incredible nonprofit.

Racial Justice & Equality At ONEHOPE we are rooted together with a common purpose of giving hope and nourishing the future. The racism and injustice in our society is unacceptable, and the tragic deaths in the Black community cannot be tolerated. In June, we set down our glasses, and stood and continue to stand in solidarity with the Black community. We took this time to reflect as a company on what we can do individually and collectively. As a company, we recognize we have room for improvement and a lot of work to do. We promise to use our platform to share what is truly important to our core values. It is time that we be the change that we want to see in the world.

To start, the ONEHOPE Foundation donated $5,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative, and committed to donating $50,000 over the next two years. Additionally, through hosted events and direct donations from ONEHOPE home office that were matched by our foundation, we donated an additional $20,000 to nonprofits supporting racial justice. Last, we donated over $12,000 to The Conscious Kid, funding the supply of thousands of anti-racist children’s books in school libraries across the country.

Since Day #1 ONEHOPE has proudly supported the Autism community. Thanks to your support, this summer we sponsored a therapy camp in California for 30 children with Autism from low-income families. Many of these families depend on school as a place for their child’s therapy and continued development. This DIR therapy camp ensured these children continued to climb the developmental ladder.

In partnership with Organization for Autism Research, the ONEHOPE Foundation funded two $5,000 scholarships to High School Seniors with Autism pursuing full-time, post-secondary, undergraduate education or vocational-technical. Our scholarships were awarded to: Alexander Rowan - Tamah, WI. Alex is using his scholarship to attend a unique program that will teach him culinary and technology skills. Alexander likes to help others at school and his community, even learning sign language to communicate to a friend who is deaf. “It’s important to me to have kind people around me, to work hard, and to do my best to make the world a better place.” Samantha Rowan - Anaheim, CA. At only 16 years old, Samantha already graduated High School and is pursuing a pre-med degree to eventually become a neurosurgeon and neurologist. She is remarkably intelligent, memorizing the 1,294 digits of the irrational value of pie.

SAMANTHA R O WA N $5,000 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

“My end goal is to be able to critically analyze the neurological proponents of Autism from a research aspect, and to be able to consult.”

In July, we held our annual Crush conference virtually, broadcasting live from three different cities into the homes of our Cause Entrepreneurs across the country. We invited all participants to participate in the virtual Active for Autism 5k to support the cause. Not only did we enjoy getting some exercise for a great cause, but ONEHOPE was the top fundraising team - raising over $5,000 for Organization for Autism’s Changing Live’s Fund.

Over 30 million kids across America rely on free and reduced-price school meals for daily nutrition. In the summer, many of these children go hungry when classes aren’t in session. Over the summer with COVID-19 closures and skyrocketing unemployment rates, the need was greater than ever. The ONEHOPE Foundation donated over $35,000 to WhyHunger, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and their families find nutritious meals locally. This donation also surpassed our giving to date to WhyHunger to over $500,000.

This fall, ONEHOPE celebrated it’s annual Harvest Party virtually with it’s Community, Vineyard Investment Partners and 20/20 Collective members. Not only do we celebrate Harvest, but we also raise funds for a special cause. This Harvest, we highlighted the OLE Health Foundation, and the incredible health services they offer our local Napa farmworkers and their families. We auctioned etched barrels and blending sessions in our new winery, custom paintings by our very own winemaker, and more. We raised over $22,000 from this event, which surpassed our giving to date to over $100,000 to OLE.

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our Community came together to give moments of hope to families impacted by breast cancer. The ONEHOPE Foundation committed to donating $50,000 to Susan G. Komen, a nonprofit whose mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs of our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Throughout September and October, we featured incredible women in our own community whose lives were impacted by Breast Cancer.

Holiday Magic Grant Program Our community came together to support families with special needs children. Due to the pandemic, these children are facing both school closures and disruptions to their in-person therapy sessions, making this time even more challenging for them and their families. The ONEHOPE Foundation created a Holiday Magic Grant program to provide funds for therapy and equipment, a fulfilled holiday wish list, a catered holiday meal supporting a local restaurant, and an outdoor family photoshoot. We were able to fund $40,000 in grants, helping 8 deserving families with special needs children. Additionally, we funded over $6,000 in micro-grants to every family that applied for this program.

THE P R I C E F A M I LY SALEM, MA “Thank you for this grant, we are eternally grateful. I was able to pay bills, get food, have enough to move. Also I am getting Tanis a bath chair that he is able to actually take a bath again, thanks to your organization’s generosity. We are really forever grateful.”

Tanis Price is a remarkable teenage boy in Salem, MA. He has duchenne muscular dystrophy, and is an incredible advocate for disabled children in his local community. Tanis is assistant Ward 4 councilor in the city of Salem, and has met with the Mayor, City Council, Parks & Recreation to make changes to local parks to be more accessible to those with disabilities. Tanis’ mother, Amy, had to quit her job in March to be at home with him full time. His lung capacity is at 30%, so he is unable to go back to school due to his compromised immune system. At school, he was receiving therapy 3 times per week. Tanis’ wheelchair broke, so his mother had to rent one out of pocket with limited funds available.

THE A U S T I N F A M I LY NORFOLK, VA “Words cannot express how grateful I am for what you all have done for me and my family during this time. Life the past few months hasn’t been very bright and happy. But you all selecting me and bringing so much joy to our lives.”

Beverli Austin is an incredible mother to 15-month old twins, TyAnn & TyVel, both of which were born prematurely at 23 weeks. It took six years with IVF treatments for Bevelri and her husband, Tony, to finally get pregnant. Shortly after finding out they were pregnant with twins, Tony was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. One of the twins, TyVel, has Down syndrome, TOF (repaired but still has to be watched), Hirschsprung’s disease, chronic lung disease and an ostomy bag. TyVel spent his first four months of life in the NICU and went back 3.5 months later for his heart repair months earlier than expected. After spending another six weeks in the hospital, TyVel finally came home on June 5, 2020. On June 6th, TyVel’s father and Beverli’s husband,Tony, had unexpected complications from his cancer and passed away.
