Organizations featured on OneVietnam address seven important causes in Vietnam and Vietnamese diaspora communities: activism,

children. Most of the 20 organizations that participated in the First Challenge has projects addressing more than one cause. The most common cause is education, with 15 organizations supporting all levels of education from elementary and secondary to universities, vocational schools, technical training, literacy, and adult education.

At the same time of the First Challenge, OneVietnam, as a community, had a goal of raising 1,000 donations in 30 days. The community met that goal in only 27 days, raising over $30,000 from 700 donors.

Hundreds of pictures and videos were shared about grassroots projects from a cooperative vegetable farm in Hue, Vietnam to a nail salon safety workshop for manicurists in Virginia, U.S.A.. After 4 hard weeks of campaigning, 18 of 20 organizations met the First Challenge and earned a permanent spot on OneVietnam.3 650 individuals made 1,148 donations totaling $26,247 to support these organizations. The average number of donations, average number of unique donors, and average amount raised were 57, 45 and $1,312, respectively. The three organizations with the most number of donations were: ICAN (86), Pacific Links Foundation (81), and LIN Center for Community Development (74). Although only the number of donations were counted towards the First Challenge, the three organizations with the most amount raised during the First Challenge were: VOICE ($5,238.25), Pacific Links Foundation ($2,504.82), and VNHELP ($2,294.25). The three organizations with the most number of unique donors were: ICAN (75), LIN Center for Community Development (61), and Humanitarian Services For Children Of Vietnam (57). Exhibit 2 shows detailed results for all organizations.
