In 2022, we were pleased to include John Tumaini on our Advisory Board. John is from Kenya and has an enormous amount of knowledge and experience with regard to bottom-up, community-based collaboration on basic needs for all. His specialty is water management. His second passion is game changing, developing an inclusive, climate-proof society with no one left behind.
Following the statutes of the ONE WORLD Citizens foundation the Supervisory Board has been meeting
● in 2021 on 26 January 2021; 26 March 2021; 5 May 2021; 7 December 2021
● In 2022 on 4 April 2022; 28 August 2022; 22 November 2022
Drawn up on February 5, 2023
In addition to the financial report:
* The yearly statements have been controlled in accordance with the 4-eye principles. Overall all invoices and payments have been double checked resulting in fully reconciled financial statement for 2022 (though with an insignificant difference of EUR 12.
* OWC works with the concept of setting the budget per dedicated activity based on expected costs, for which the budget is granted. With our organisation based on volunteers and youngers, the salary costs are limited so that most of the budget goes to the project itself. In case the budget is not used, the excess balance is paid back to the sponsor, so that the sponsor is guaranteed that the donation is used for its purpose.
* In 2022 Net4Kids became our partner and sponsored the Living Legends in Rwanda, Kenya and Nepal. With a grant of the Erasmus program, OWC setup the "We Grow Together" program where youngsters met in Den Bosch, Netherlands in order to exchange ideas and build a strong network. Also VSBfonds support was used in Den Bosch, Netherlands to facilitate the "Welcome in Den Bosch" program for our newcomers.

● We go for the Global Goals with the focus on 'with no one left behind', because we cannot achieve a better, sustainable world if half the world does not count and therefore cannot participate.
● We move forward, not focussed on the 169 sub goals, but by undertaking good examples of change for achievement of the Goals. By daily action, from the grassroots, from the power of youngsters and our communities.
● Knowing that nothing is impossible, everything is possible if We Grow Together!
