We avoid shortcuts. Real crafted pieces take time. They are made with passion, effort and love.
It all started twenty years ago in the small village of Horred, in the Swedish countryside. Now we are proud to introduce a new chapter in our Scandinavian design history. We continue to design and produce collections loyal to our Scandinavian heritage, never far from home. Our aim is to make both beautiful and functional products, designed for long-term use and enjoyment. We always strive to produce our products with concern for the environment.
Our leather products are vegetable tanned at TärnsjÜ Garveri in Sweden, using the same method as our fore fathers. The art of vegetable tanning leather is thousands of years old. It is a time-consuming method, but it is the only way to produce premium leather while at the same time respecting our environment.
The rhythmic heartbeat from the looms in the small village in the Swedish countryside where our cotton towels anic cotton is produced in an environmentally friendly way, using rainwater collected from the roof of the building.
Every year sheep grow new wool, making wool a renewable resource. Used wool can be recycled to create new products, and even more - wool is biodegradable. Our blankets are produced of ecological wool from Swedish sheep, using only the natural colours of the wool.
Our concrete products are hand made by Anna Christians at Skoklosterhalvön in Sweden, in her studio - an old recycled telephone exchange. anna says:
“ To create a product in concrete is a time-
consuming handicraft and I work a long time with the originals. I grind and polish for as long as it takes to get the original to a shape that I am 100% satisfied with.”
Our wooden products are made of wood from the European forests. When working with natural materials every piece is unique. Out of respect to the material and to our environment, we use as mild surface treatments as possible.
We carefully choose our materials, with an honest intention to create long lasting, valuable items with a function. This is our mission. This is our passion. Welcome home.
