Williams — Williams was the last town located on US Route 66 to be bypassed by I-40 and continues to celebrate that historic route with vintage car shows and the Route 66 Cultural Heritage Days. Historic Old Town Williams is full of interesting shops, galleries and restaurants. A fun place to visit, day or evening. Grand Canyon and the Grand Canyon Railway — What better way to visit our Grand Canyon National park than a vintage train ride with entertainment on the way and spectacular views when you arrive. Grand Canyon Deer Farm — A fantastic petting zoo, for young and old with different varieties of deer, pygmy goats, llamas, monkeys, miniature donkeys and peacocks. Meteor Crater — The world’s best preserved meteorite impact site on Earth. Located just minutes from I-40 near Winslow, AZ. Meteor Crater is the breathtaking result of a collision between asteroid traveling 26,000 miles per hour and planet Earth, approximately 50,000 years ago. Monument Valley — One of the grandest — and most photographed — landmarks in the United States, Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park is a sprawling, sandy preserve that spans the border between Arizona and Utah. Dominated by crimson mesas and surreal sandstone towers — some as tall as 1,000 feet — the area is also known for dramatic, mesmerizing lighting, with the sun illuminating the towers and casting long shadows on the valley floor. Located inside the Navajo Nation — one of the largest Native American tribes in the United States — Monument Valley is around four hours northeast of Flagstaff.
