Welcome to El Centro

El Centro’s location is 110 miles east of San Diego, California, 60 miles west of Yuma, Arizona and 10 miles north of Mexicali, Mexico. The entire Imperial Valley is 52' below sea level. The valley falls north toward the Salton Sea which is ACTUALLY 273.5' BELOW SEA LEVEL. This is where “The Sun Spends The Winter” as attested to by the fact that El Centro has more sunny days per year than any other place in the country. NAF El Centro is the winter home and training facility for the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team. Whether your interest is golfing, sand dunes in the desert or bird watching at the Salton Sea, El Centro is a vacationing paradise!
