DESERT SHADOWS

Volume 39, Issue 1

RESORT ACTIVITIES Welcome Back Everyone! I can’t believe summer is over and we’re starting our new season. What did ya’ll do this summer? Before my season ended I attended an Entertainer Showcase for Activity Directors in the Valley. I brought a friend with me that resides in the resort so I could get her opinion as well. Most of the entertainers were good, a few were not, but I still give them kudos for having the courage to put themselves out there and doing what they enjoy. I want to do my very best as your Activities Director. One way that I can do this is if you attend one of our events or dances and don’t like the entertainment, please let me know. You won’t hurt my feelings if you tell me you didn’t like the entertainment on Wednesday night. I like your feedback. I need your feedback. Also, if you are out in the community and hear a good band or see a good show, provide me with their name so I can check them out.

I try to check it everyday, but not always. I love to see the posts and pics from everyone, helps keep me informed. If you have pics you would like to share with me you can post them on facebook or send them to my email at events@phoenixrvresorts.com. I want to try and change the picture display board more this season, but I need your pics to do so. If you are not on social media you can still drop off pics in my office and I will see that they get put on the board to share with everyone. CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! Some of you may have heard that I fell a couple of weeks ago and sprained by left foot and broke the fibula bone right above my ankle. You should see my “new wheels”. My knee scooter helps me get around but I’m still limited in what I can do. I will need your help more than ever now. Please stop by my office and see what you can do to help keep our RESORT ACTIVITIES run smoothly this season.

Life is a one time offer, Use it well

On another note, if you are on “Facebook”, I would like to invite you to add my facebook page to your friends list. It is www.facebook.com/desertrvcrafts ACTIVITIES OFFICE HOURS
