Policies
1. CHECK-OUT TIME IS 11:00 AM. All sites will be renewed at 12:30 pm unless other arrangements have been made with staff approval. 2. Private restrooms and showers located in center of building open during business hours. (Closed for cleaning 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.)
3. Public restrooms and showers in rear of building open 24 hours. (Enter through rear of building after business hours.) 4. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and walked only in areas marked for pets around the Campground. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PETS. Pets are not allowed in buildings, in the playground or in the pool area. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PETS UNATTENDED. 5. Swimming Pool: There is no lifeguard on duty. According to Colorado State Law, all children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please obey all posted rules and dry off before entering the building. Pool is open Memorial Day weekend and closes Labor Day weekend. Noon to Sundown. 6. Fires are a constant danger in our dry and windy area. Therefore, they are allowed only in approved barbeque grills (available upon request). CHECK WITH OFFICE. FIRES IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. 7. Clotheslines are not allowed. Dryers are available in the laundry area.
8. Washing of vehicles is not allowed in the Campground. We’ll be happy to tell you where you can do this in town. 9. Take trash to Dumpsters provided. No Auto-RV-Repair. 10. QUIET HOURS: 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. 11. Speed limit is 5 mph in the Campground. 12. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the restrooms. 13. No smoking in any buildings, please. 14. No generators allowed. 15. All guests must check in at Office. Day use fee - $5.00 per person. 16. Propane available. (Check at Office.) 17. No bicycles allowed on walkways. No bicycle riding in Campground after dark. 18. We are on a septic system— do not flush Depends, diapers, female hygiene products, etc. 19. Please park on gravel. 20. No tents, awnings and/or stakes on RV sites (due to electric wiring in the ground). 21. No carrying or discharging of firearms in the Campground. 22. Please comply with these rules. We may ask anyone who does not conform to these rules to leave without a refund. Please notify the Office if you encounter any problems while staying with us.

Wellington History comes alive at the FREE Wellington History Museum. Home to one of the largest private collections in Colorado, this museum offers a look into the past with rotating exhibits of Wellington, Native America, General George Armstrong Custer and The Little Bighorn. There are photos, films and video available for viewing. The museum is open Friday and Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and located in the Vestige Press building at 3740 Cleveland Ave. 970-490-2137. The college town of Fort Collins is a short drive from the KOA. Visit Old Town, where many of the original buildings still remain, but the area has become a premier entertainment and shopping district with unique shops, fabulous art galleries and stunning architecture. Enjoy a variety of dining and cultural options, too! Enjoy Colorado’s most beautiful river! Cache la Poudre River Canyon is truly a hidden treasure of Colorado with majestic cliffs and fabulous formations. Take a drive, hike, bike, fish or go rafting. Follow Colorado Highway 14 from its junction with US 287 up the canyon to the town of Walden in North Park. Along the way you will see the stunning Poudre Canyon, the Poudre River and vast forests, as well as high peaks and the Home Moraine Geological site. Anglers will find wild trout waters near the town of Rustic. Colorado fishing licenses and regulations are available at local stores. There are many hiking and biking trailheads along the road as it passes through the Roosevelt National Forest.

Rocky Mountain National Park – Located just 35 miles from Fort Collins, the peaks of the Rocky Mountain National Park beckon to visitors from 13,000 feet above sea level. Hike on over 359 miles of trails (from moderate to difficult,) climb fabulous rock formations, or relax and view wildlife like bighorn sheep, elk, deer, birds and more. Drive to the Continental Divide on Trail Ridge Road. The Park is open 24 hours a day 12 months of the year. A seven-day or annual pass is available at the entrance. Follow US Route 34 from the east through to Estes Park, then take Highway 36 to the Park. A taste of Fort Collins. Fort Collins is the second largest producer of beer in Colorado and home to five breweries: The Anheuser-Busch Brewery (970-490-4691), New Belgium Brewing Company, Inc (970-221-0524), CooperSmith’s Pub & Brewing (970-498-0483), Fort Collins Brewery (970-472-1499) and the Odell Brewing Company (970-498-9070).
