CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES

• ALCOHOL: Must be confined to your campsite. MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASK ANY PERSON TO LEAVE WITHOUT REFUND because of excessive drinking or other objectionable behavior. ALCOHOL is NOT allowed at the pool. No smoking at pool and deck.

• BATHROOMS and SHOWERS: We take pride in our clean bathrooms and showers. Please help keep them clean for the next guest. Please DO NOT wash clothes or dishes in the bathrooms. We have a laundry for clothes washing, and provide a sink for dishwashing. If anything needs attention, please let us know in the Office.

• Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi beginning March 1st.

- Network Name: Hagerstown KOA or Hagerstown KOA 5

- Upon connection to the network, select “free access”

- Password: Antietam

- For Cabins/Lodges, - each will have a different password which will be located on the back of their cabin key.

- For connection issues or questions, call Skyweb at 989-771-7100. KOA can not assist with any Wi-Fi issues here at the campground.

• CAMPFIRES: All campfires should be in campfire rings only. DO NOT MOVE fire rings. No outside firewood allowed. All fires should be small and not blazing. Fire rings are NOT trash cans. Firewood is for sale at the General Store. Do not leave fires unattended. Please have campfires out by 11:00 pm.

• CANOEING: Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We provide life jackets and oars. There is a charge for renting the canoes and kayaks.

• CHECK-OUT TIME for cabins and RV sites is 11:00 am. Check-in time is after 1 pm Late check-out times - see office

• CHILDREN: Maryland state law states that all bike riders age 16 and under must wear a helmet. Parents are responsible for their children’s actions and must assume financial responsibility for any damage or injury caused by them, regardless of age. Kids under 18 must be at your campsite by 10:00 pm. No bike riding after dark. Playground area is closed after dark.

• FISHING: Ages 16+ are required to have a valid Maryland Fishing License.

• GREY WATER: State law requires grey water to be caught in a covered container and disposed of at the Dump Station. No dumping portable toilets in the bathrooms.

• LAUNDRY: Laundry room is open 24 hours, please no clotheslines in campsite.

• MESSAGES: Will be posted at night on registration board.

• PARKING: One car per site. Additional parking at the Store. No parking on the grass!!!

• PETS: We love animals, but some folks give their pets a bad reputation. Leashed pets are welcome. No pets in buildings. They must be cleaned up after; doggie bags are placed around the park. Please see map for pet walks. Unattended noisy pets are not welcome. Do not leave your pet tied up unattended. Pet fees apply in some cases.

• QUIET TIME: 10:00 pm until 8:00 am Please be considerate of your neighbors.

• SMOKING is not allowed in any of our buildings. NO SMOKING ON POOL DECKS. Please do not mar the beauty of the outdoors. PLEASE DISCARD CIGARETTE BUTTS PROPERLY.

• SWIMMING: No lifeguard provided. Swimming is at your own risk. Proper swim attire is necessary. No glass containers in pool area. AN ADULT MUST SUPERVISE ANY CHILD UNDER 16. NO CHILD UNDER 16 SHOULD BE SUPERVISING UNDERAGE CHILDREN. Diapered children must wear a swim diaper. Hours are posted. ALCOHOL is NOT allowed at the pool. No street clothes allowed in pool. Pool will be closed in case of inclement weather.

• TRASH: Will be picked up at your site before 10:00 am, after that please dispose of it in the dumpster located by the exit. Please bag your household trash. Hazardous waste, chemicals, and large items must be disposed of by guest appropriately and cannot be placed in dumpsters. Please do not burn trash, bottles, cans, plastic, etc. in the fire rings. Thank you for helping to keep our campground clean. Please do NOT leave trash out overnight.

• VANDALISM: Will not be tolerated.

• VISITORS: All visitors MUST register at the office BEFORE GOING TO YOUR SITE. If you wish to pay for your guest in advance, we will have their car pass ready for them. Visitor hours are 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitors NOT registered will be asked to leave. If your visitors are just popping in to say “hi”, or picking you up, we will refund their guest fee if they depart the KOA within one hour.

• ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING: Campers may plug into the 30 amp OR 50 amp receptacle NOT both at once.  This pedestal is not designed to accommodate both receptacles being used simultaneously and will result in damage to the electrical system of this campground and your equipment.  You will be responsible for damages resulting from incorrect use of this pedestal.

• WASHING: RV and vehicle washing is prohibited.

• JUMP PAD RULES: Everyone must follow rules posted at Jump Pad, no exceptions. Anyone found not following the rules will be asked to leave the area.

• NO FIREARMS, FIRECRACKERS, OR EXPLOSIVES ARE PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES. Generators are prohibited.

• LASTLY: This is a privately-owned property. Management reserves the right to evict anyone violating our rules of good camping by destroying property or creating a disturbance, without refund or prorating of your site. Please help us make everyone’s stay pleasant and enjoyable. Management assumes NO responsibility for accidents, injuries, or loss of property.

Visit Antietam Battlefield and Museum en route to Sharpsburg, approximately 16.5 miles. Don’t miss the Antietam National Cemetery also in Sharpsburg. Hike, bike or fish the Canal there, south of the town to C&O Canal National Historic Park. See the Antietam Aquaduct, built in 1834. Consult your map for directions.

C&O Canal, with a 184-mile tow path, is famous for hiking and biking. It can be visited in Williamsport, which has about 3.5 miles of bike lanes in the downtown area. Consult your map for directions.
