Guidelines for Happy Kamping
Guests: Visitors are required to pay appropriate fees before going to your site. Children under 12 must be supervised at all times, in all areas of the campground. You are responsible for your children. Alcoholic beverages must stay at your campsite. Pets: You are responsible for your pets. We accept all pets, regardless of size or breed. All pets must be on a leash not to exceed 6 feet long. Do not leave your pet unattended. Clean up after your pet in all areas of the campground. Environment: Please help us preserve the park for future generations. No gathering of firewood. Order firewood in the office. Feel free to gather small twigs or dry leaves from the ground to start your fire. Do not cut, damage, or burn trees, logs or branches. $50.00 per inch fine for doing so. Attend your campfire at all times. You must douse or cover the fire with a fire screen if you leave the fire unattended. Do not nail anything to the trees. Place a cardboard shield between the tree and rope if you plan to hang a hammock or line. We have chickens here at the campground serving as an organic form of pest control. They eat ticks, flies, mosquitoes and many other pests. You may feed the chickens (and various wildlife), but do not chase, harass, pet or pick them up as one of you may be injured in the process. Sewer/Grey Water: Virginia State Law requires all grey water to be collected in a covered container and disposed of into the dump station. There is a large sink in the laundry room for dish washing. Do not flush baby wipes, feminine products, grease or rags into our septic system. No vehicle washing. Dump Station hours coincide with the office hours. Ask in the office for the key. Dump station use upon departure is included in your camping fees. $25.00 for those arriving who wish to dump prior to camping. $55.00 for all non-campers. Sorry, no dumping after dark. Recreation: The pool is open 10am to dusk, Memorial Day - Labor Day, weather permitting. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY, swim at your own risk. An adult must supervise children under the age of 15 at all times. No food, pets or glass in the pool area. Mini Golf, Horseshoes, Basketball, Ping Pong, Pool Table and Air Hockey are included in your stay. Check the office for equipment and seasonal activities schedules. Services: Visit our convenience store stocked with food, snacks, clothing, toys, souvenirs, RV/camp supplies, firewood, ice and fishing gear. Propane Tank Filling Station is located behind the main building. Check with the office for hours. Sorry, no propane will be dispensed after dark or during thunderstorms. Consideration: Enjoy yourself and allow others to do the same. If your neighbor can hear your music or TV, it is too loud. If your neighbor is too noisy, tell them nicely or tell a member of the staff. Patio lights go out when you go in. Use a flashlight while walking at night for your safety. We strive to keep our campground in excellent condition. Please promptly bring any issues to our attention.
1. Set your TV input to CATV. 2. Switch from your personal satellite dish input to Cable TV. 3. Do a channel scan. 4. Check that the cable connections are all tight. 5. Check that your CATV is in good repair. 6. If there are problems: After you have checked the above items, then call us and we will come out to check our equipment.
