Guidelines for Happy Camping

There are no butts about it — please pick up your cigarette butts and dog poop, or go barefoot!

FRIENDLY PETS ARE WELCOME! They must remain on a leash. Please DO NOT leave your pet unattended.

CLEAN

UP AFTER YOUR PETS!

SMOKING: No smoking or vaping in or within 20 feet of lodging, mini golf, office, pool, rec room, playground, laundry, breezeway, or restroom areas. Violators will be charged $200. Use butt pots!

WATER & SEWER: Please run the water faucet to clear it prior to connecting to your RV. Use sewer receptacle nearest the back of your RV. Please run plenty of water down your toilet when flushing - it really helps keep things flowing!

CHECK-OUT TIME: 11:00 am. Reservations take priority over changes in plans. Please re-register by 10:00 am if you are planning to stay another day. AFTER 2:00 pm, A FULL DAY’S REGISTRATION IS DUE.

REGISTRATION: All guests must be registered.

SPEED LIMIT: “VERY SLOW!” 3½ mph at all times!

QUIET HOURS: 9:00 pm – 7:30 am

TRASH: Please place trash in the dumpsters. Please recycle your aluminum, cardboard, glass and plastic. PLEASE DO NOT LITTER!

VEHICLES: DO NOT change oil in the campground.

CHILDREN: Parents are responsible for their children’s actions and safety.

SWIMMING POOL: Hours are 10:00 am till dusk. Rules are posted. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY.

CAMPFIRES: Campfires are only allowed in designated fire rings.

SITES and PARKING: Only one camping unit per site. Guests coming to visit campers must park in designated areas. Please do not block roadways or park on medians!

Bent’s Old Fort was one of the significant fur trading sites of the Old West, on the Santa Fe Trail. In 1833 the fort was built by the Bent, St. Vrain & Company and was a major trading center for 16 years. The fort’s location was significant to western expansion of the U.S.
