Policies & Rules for Your Safety & Enjoyment at Lake Gaston Americamps
For Overnight Campers:
ONLY 1 TENT OR CAMPER IS PERMITTED PER SITE (unless approved in advance by management)
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING RULES. PLEASE READ & REVIEW WITH ALL ON YOUR CAMPSITE.
February 15th - April 30th: There is a fire ban on fires before 4:00pm
1. CHECK-IN TIME is 2 pm. Check out time is 12 pm.
2. MAIN GATE closes at 10 pm and reopens at 7 am.
3. QUIET HOURS — 12 am to 7 am. All children under age of 18 years old MUST BE ON THEIR SITE BY 10 pm unless accompanied by a parent. All campers should be on their site by midnight. No loud music or offensive behavior will be allowed at any time.
4. ALL VISITORS must stop at office upon arrival to obtain a visitors pass. Any fees due are required to be paid prior to parking at site.
5. SPEED LIMIT — 5 miles an hour, unless otherwise marked. Avoid unnecessary driving around campground. Motorcycles may be ridden to and from site only.
6. WASTE WATER is not permitted on the ground. Use of sewer collar is required on all sewer sites (VA state law).
7. TRASH — Overnight and weekly guests may leave their trash in front of your site for daily pick up. Please place out before 6 pm.
8. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are permitted on your site, but must be in a cup, or bottles/cans must be in a koozie. The Virginia drinking age is 21; NO underage drinking will be tolerated. Anyone found giving alcohol to minors will be evicted immediately.
9. PETS should be leashed at all times. You are responsible for your pet. You must clean up after your pet. Dogs are to be kept quiet. Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended. See additional pet policies on check-in sheet.
10. GOLF CARTS — Drivers must be 16 years of age with proof of license. NO EXCEPTIONS. ATVs & side by sides are NOT allowed.
11. SWIMMING is permitted only for registered campers. Rules are posted at pool. Pool hours are 10 am to dusk. No children under the age of 14 are permitted inside pool area without supervision of a parent or guardian. A proper swimsuit is required. NO DRINKS (except bottled water), FOOD, FOUL LANGUAGE, HORSEPLAY OR SMOKING PERMITTED IN POOL AREA.
12. COURTESY is contagious; please give your neighbor yours. Please respect others by not walking or driving through their site.
13. SCOOTERS Electric scooters ARE allowed but gas scooters are not.
14. BICYCLES must be used responsibly; they must have a headlight and reflectors to be used after dark.
15. FIRES are permitted in the fire ring provided at your site. Fire rings must remain where you find them. Please drown your fire before bedtime or you leave your site.
16. WOOD is available in the camp store for sale. Never cut a tree limb or shrub.
17. FIREARMS, FIREWORKS, LETHAL WEAPONS OR EXPLOSIVES of any kind are prohibited.
18. PICNIC TABLES — One allowed per site; no charcoal grills on picnic tables please.
19. CHILDREN — All small children must be under adult supervision at all times!
20. REFUNDS — NO, SORRY!
21. CABINS — No Tents & No Pets allowed on Cabin Sites.
Lake Gaston Americamps wants you to have an enjoyable visit at our campground. Our policies and rules are designed to promote a relaxed and enjoyable environment for all who camp with us. To serve the interests of our campground as a whole, these rules are strictly enforced. We reserve the right to evict immediately anyone violating these rules, creating a disturbance to others or destroying any campground property and no refund will be given!
