Park Rules & General Information
Everyone has to have them. It is our hope to provide you with a pleasant stay for everyone’s comfort and safety, therefore the following policies have been established. Thank you for being our guest and enjoy your stay. FROWNS are not allowed. If you feel compelled to wear one, leave it at the dump station and pick it up when you leave. RV WASHING is permitted only with a wash permit, which can be purchased at the office. SMOKING: Thank you for NOT smoking in ANY building or within 25 feet of any building. SITE RENTAL is paid in advance. Rates apply to 1 or 2 people, 1 RV and/or 1 vehicle. There is an extra charge for additional vehicles and people. All visitors must register at the office and are asked to leave the grounds by 10 pm. YOUR SITE is assigned to you at the time of check-in. A site once assigned cannot be changed without permission from the front office. You are responsible for your site’s cleanliness. Trash, debris and cigarette butts need to be picked up, bagged and disposed of in dumpsters. No changing of oils or major vehicle repairs are permitted on your site. Dumping of any wastewater on ground is not permitted. Since your neighbor may want to enjoy the views rather than your laundry, clotheslines are not permitted to be hung from your RV or from a tree. SEWER CONNECTION: Since we think fresh air is wonderful, a secure sewer connection is required at both ends of your sewer line by Colorado State law. CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations need to be made 24 hours prior to arrival because your reservation means we may have had to turn other guests away. Early departures may be made, but there are NO REFUNDS. CHILDREN: Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Children under 14 years old must have a parent accompanying them at all times. All children must be on their sites by 9:00 pm. PETS are welcome in the park as long as each pet is accompanied by a 6 foot leash and an owner. Please don’t leave your pet outside unattended. Use the designated dog walking area and please pick up after them. Pets are not allowed in any buildings, pool or play area. Some folks like a quiet, peaceful environment, so please keep your pets quiet. Breeds allowed are at the discretion of Management. ANY PERSON who defaces, injures or destroys resort property or equipment or whose children, pets or guests do so, will be held liable for the full cost of damages. QUIET TIME: Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 8:00 am. The music you enjoy and find tasteful probably isn’t your neighbor’s favorite. Please keep radio, stereo, TV, etc. volume low. GENERATORS: Thank you for not a running generator at any time. CAMPING CABINS: Our sleeping cabins are just that. Smoking, cooking or pets in cabins are not permitted. GARBAGE: Some unlucky person in your party will have to take the garbage to the dumpster. If you are traveling alone, it’s you. Please be sure to bag all trash and dispose of it in the dumpsters. Garbage cans are not allowed on your site. SITE ETIQUETTE: Be considerate of other campers. Thank you for not walking through other sites. UNOCCUPIED SITES: Do NOT drive through empty sites. RV LINGO: Park cabins are primitive sleeping arrangements; please bring your own linens. Tent sites have water and electric hook-ups ONLY. Water and Electric hook-ups are only water and electric provided. Water, Electric and Sewer means there are hook-ups for all three, plus Wi-Fi is available. MONUMENT RV RESORT POOL AND HOT TUB (Seasonal): Children under 14 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Children under 16 NOT permitted in spa. Complete set of pool rules and regulations available at the office. For everyone’s comfort and safety we ask that you observe and follow our rules and show consideration for your camping neighbors. They are on vacation too.

Fruita, Colorado - 1 MILE FROM PARK
Colorado National Monument One of the grandest landscapes of the American West, Colorado National Monument is a brilliantly colored, rugged canyon and plateau region of Colorado. The Monument truly is a special place, with views of distant horizons, wonderful solitude and perhaps a chance sight of desert bighorn sheep roaming about, or even a golden eagle soaring over the towering rock formations. John Otto came upon these canyons and worked fervently to make them become a National Park. He lived alone, in desolate country southwest of Grand Junction, campaigning for it to be set aside as a national park. Otto urged the citizens of Grand Junction to petition their representatives in Washington, D.C. to support his proposal. Finally, in 1911, the Colorado National Monument was established. Mr. Otto became the first caretaker of the park, until 1927, with a salary of $1 a month. Page 3
