DESERT SHADOWS

Volume 37, Issue 7

Resort Activities We have come to the end of another season and to our last newsletter until October. A lot of our residents will be heading home for the summer. We wish you all safe travels and will be awaiting your return in the Fall. Though we sadly say goodbye to some of our longtime residents as they move back closer to family, we wish you the very best and will always keep you close to our hearts. This also means the activities office is losing some of their long time volunteers and will miss them dearly. Thank you for all the years you have given to helping out here at Desert Shadows. We can never thank you enough. EASTER: We will have our Easter dinner on Sunday, April 5th, at 1:00 pm. A sign up sheet is posted for you to sign your name on a table with the dish you will bring to share. We need volunteers to bake and carve hams and to help clean up. BINGO: Good news for those staying, bingo will continue a little longer this season. Bingo will continue until Thursday, May 28th. It will also start up earlier than our regular season. The first bingo session to restart is on Thursday, September 3rd. DANCE: There are no dances scheduled for April. You will have to wait for the first dance to start next season on October 31st, our Halloween dance. ACTIVITIES OFFICE HOURS

DONUTS: Donuts will continue for Saturday, April 4th and April 11th. Then we will go back to the summer schedule for everyone here taking turns bringing the donuts on Saturday. There will be a sign up posted in the lobby for you to volunteer your week end. DARTS: Darts could continue if there are enough of you here to keep playing on April 6th and 13th. And longer if we still have players. ACTIVITY OFFICE: The activity office will officially close on April 15th. We will be looking forward to next season with lots of activities planned. NEW RULES: Please pick up a sheet at the OFFICE that explains the new rules regarding TRASH PICK UP & WASHING OF VEHICLES AT YOUR SPACE. Thank you.
