Panguitch is the Paiute word for “big fish” and plenty of trout prowl Panguitch Lake 17 miles south of this high desert campground in the state’s southwest corner. Cedar Breaks National Monument is 15 miles beyond the lake.
Rules & Regulations
PET POLICY
Please respect these rules during your stay to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and safe camping experience. If you have any questions about the rules please ask the KOA staff.

Campground Speed Limit: 5 MPH. Check-out Time: l l :00 a.m. MOUNTAIN TIME. Late checkout charges will apply. Early checkouts will result in no refunds during holidays and special events. Laundry Hours are as posted. Campstore: Shirts & Shoes are required in the store. (No wet bathing suits.) Quiet Hours: Please respect others, observe the hours of 10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. as Quiet Hours. Please turn off outside RV and awning lights at 10:00 p.m. Trash: Bagged trash is picked up near the road at campsites between 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Unfortunately, recycling is not currently available in Garfield County. Please feel free to take recyclables with you or place in the trash dumpster. Cleaning/Housekeeping Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 3 :00 p.m., ongoing. Swimming Pool: No lifeguard on duty. Children under 14 MUST have adult supervision (18 years or older). Pool rules are posted at the pool. Campsite/RV Sites: Do not dig holes or disturb ground cover. No tents or carpets permitted on the grass. Any guest destroying/ damaging property will be charged for repairs/replacement, as determined by management. No tents permitted on RV sites. Campfires: Permitted in fire rings and grills provided. Relocating fire rings, rocks or grills will result in additional fees, minimum $50.00. Do not leave fires unattended. Firewood, Smores sticks and more available in the camp store. Do not break or chop down our trees and bushes. This is destruction of private property and will be treated as a criminal act. Sewer Connections: An adapter/connector is required for RV hook-up. Carefully replace the sewer cap when you disconnect. Gray Water Disposal: State law prohibits dumping of gray water on the ground. Use dump station. Full hook-up sites can use sewer connection. Propane: Dispensed during daylight office hours only. Generators: Cannot be used on the campground. Dish Washing: Only permitted at pavilion and satellite outdoor kitchen sinks. Not bathrooms. Hammocks/Clotheslines: (Including clothing, linens, hammocks, etc.) are prohibited from being hung from trees, fences, and other public areas. Washing and/or Rinsing Vehicles and RV: Not permitted. Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in all cabins and buildings. If evidence is detected, it will result in $100.00 cleaning charge. Alcohol: Consumption only at your campsite. Fireworks, Firearms & Drones: NOT PERMITTED. Motorcycles and ATVs: Permitted as transportation only. They may not be ridden over the speed limit or for recreational purposes inside the campground or on the nature path. Use Common Sense and Good Judgment: The KOA management assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries or losses. Protect your valuables. Keep valuables with you. The KOA management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. We reserve the right to evict without refund for behavior that is considered detrimental to the campground or fellow campers. In such cases the sheriff’s department will be notified.
1 pet maximum in pet-friendly cabins. Please follow these rules, so pets can continue to be welcome. 1. Pets must be on <6’ leash. 2. Pets must be supervised at all times. 3. Throw away your pet waste. Waste stations available. 4. Pets are NOT permitted in buildings, cabins or pool areas. We encourage you to board your pet if you are away for the day. Local pet care provider contacts are available at camp store. Pets under distress while owners are away are cause for emergency action.
