PLACES TO GO ... THINGS TO SEE

Two of the largest County parks in the United States, Estrella Mountain Park and White Tank Park, are located nearby in the City of Goodyear and just northwest of the city. There are almost 60 miles of trails for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riding. These parks have over 75 square miles of desert and mountain landscapes. Stargazing, native culture and archeology, local plants and animals, and guided hikes are available. Visit one of the Major League Baseball Stadiums in the Phoenix Metro area, for your favorite team during Spring Training.

Heard Museum is one of the best places to experience the Cultures of Native Americans of the Southwest. Located at 2301 N. Central Ave., Phoenix.

Take a day trip through the Apache Trail that runs through the Superstition Mountains and possibly you’ll come across the legendary Lost Dutchman gold mine.
