Courteous Camper

Help make Gettysburg Farm an exciting destination to create fond family memories by abiding by a few common-sense standards. A detailed list of rules and regulations can be found in your Membership Contract package.

Speed Limit: 5 miles per hour; this includes cars, trucks, golf carts, bicycles and electric toys.

Wi-Fi: Available for a fee, contact the Office or Ranger Station for more information.

Cabin/Lodging Check-in: 4:00 PM

Check-out: 11:00 AM

RV Check-in: Noon, RV Check-out: 11:00 AM

RVs must be on-site when checking-in.

Report to your assigned site. If you have any questions or issues, please contact the Ranger Station.

Do not set up in an open site without Ranger approval.

All camping units must be occupied at night; unattended units will be fined.

Quiet Time: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

During quiet time, all guests under 18 must be on their site or accompanied by a responsible adult. Be mindful of the volume of radios, televisions, etc.

Personal Conduct: Loud noises, offensive language, ill-mannered behavior, reckless driving, and walking through occupied sites will not be tolerated.

Mail: There is a $5.00 charge for receiving packages; we do not accept letters.

Visitors: A maximum of 10 occupants per site. If you have more than ten visitors, contact the office for alternative locations. All visitors must be pre-registered at the Ranger Station. Guests may be subjected to a $10.00 per vehicle entrance fee.

Vehicles: No more than two vehicles per site; additional vehicles and trailers may park in designated areas (see map for details). Do not park in empty campsites. All vehicles within the campground must display a car tag including Day Use and Visitors. Driving on grass is not permitted.

Golf Carts: All carts must have a current Thousand Trails permit; see office or Ranger for details. Cart operators must possess a valid driver’s license. Driving on grass is not permitted.

Bicycles: Bikes may be ridden during daylight hours only. Riders 16 years old and under are required to wear bike helmets. Unlicensed motorized bikes are prohibited.

Pets: Pets must be accompanied at all times. Pets must be on a leash and under the control of a responsible person. Persons not picking up after their pets will be fined. Pets are not permitted in buildings, comfort stations, playgrounds, pool areas, etc. Electronic leashes and fences are not permitted. Exotic pets are not allowed in the park.

Camper Storage Area: Keep out; the storage area is not a common area.

Alcohol: Consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted for persons 21 years old and older. Containers must be concealed. Public drunkenness or drinking and driving (including golf carts) will not be tolerated. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in buildings or public/social areas.

Smoking and Vaping: The use of tobacco or vaping products is permitted for persons 21 years old and older. The use of tobacco or vaping products is not permitted in buildings or public/ social areas.

Pool: Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Running, diving, smoking, vaping, alcohol, inflatables, balls, footballs, and horseplay are not permitted.

Portable Pools, Hot Tubs, Sprinklers, etc.: are not permitted.

Hunting/Fishing: Hunting is not permitted. Anyone age 16 and over is required to have a valid fishing license in Pennsylvania.

Trash and Garbage Disposal: Dispose of refuse in dumpsters. Dumpsters are not for building materials, hot coals, grills, etc.; contact the Office or Maintenance Department for more information. Trash and garbage is not to be burnt in fire pit.

Fire Wood & Ice May be purchased at the Trading Post or Ranger Station.

Propane: Available daily. See hours of operation posted at filling station or contact Trading Post / Ranger.

Sewage: Black and Gray water may not be discharged on the ground or in the creek. Do not flush paper towels, diapers, feminine products, or wipes. Use only toilet tissue rated for RV or septic tank use.

Trees: The cutting of trees or limbs is prohibited. Clotheslining: Clotheslines, ropes, hammocks, lights, tarps, banners, etc., may not be attached to trees, posts, utilities, etc.

Fireworks, Firecrackers, Sparklers, etc.: are not permitted.

Firearms: Modern or antique rifles, pistols, shotguns, BB guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns, water bead guns, gel guns, or toy guns that highly resemble real guns are not permitted. Power Tools, Machinery and Generators: Not permitted.

Flags, Signs, Posters, Bumper Stickers, and Window Stickers: Nothing offensive or political is permitted to be displayed within the campground.
