Courteous Camper To make Lake Gaston RV Campground a fun place to be for you and your fellow members, there are a few rules for courteous camping which we have summarized below. Please refer to your member handbook for a more complete and detailed set of the rules which apply to the use of your membership. Bicycles may be ridden during daylight hours only. No bikes allowed on piers. For the safety of the riders and members, please do not ride after dark. Minibikes, motorbikes and trail bikes are prohibited. Boat Trailers must be parked in the visitor parking area adjacent to the ranger station. NO BOAT TRAILER PARKING AT THE BOAT RAMP AREA. Buffer Zone: Buffer zone is for everyone’s enjoyment. Campfires: Please observe campfire rules and any local burning regulations or restrictions based on weather or climatic conditions. Never leave campfires unattended. Check-In 12:00 noon. Check-Out 12:00 noon. Clotheslines are not permitted as they can cause serious injury. Do not feed wildlife. Fireworks are not permitted. Fishing licenses are required for persons 16 and older. NC licenses are sold in the Trading Post. Golf Carts: All golf carts must be registered at time of arrival along with proof of insurance. Only electric carts are permitted at property. No ATVs are permitted. Pets: Pets are permitted and must be kept on a leash. No pets are permitted in buildings, pavilion, or pool and most lake areas. We have one designated beach/lake area your pet is permitted to play/swim. Pets must accompany owner when leaving a campsite or camper and must not be left unattended. Please clean up after your pets. Picnic Tables and Fire Rings are not to be moved from one site to another. Propane may be purchased from 9am-11am & 2pm-4pm daily. Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours 11pm-7am. All minors (under 18) must be under direct supervision of a parent or a sponsoring adult member during these hours. Even during non-quiet hours, keep in mind that sound carries outdoors and your neighbor may not want to hear your favorite radio station or TV show. Recreation Rules: Please observe all swimming (no lifeguard on duty), boating rules posted. Recreation equipment may be checked out at the Trading Post during posted store hours. Site Location: Please inform the Ranger Station or the Trading Post of your site location so emergency messages can be delivered when necessary or for the convenience of your guests. Speed Limit: Please observe the 10 miles per hour speed limit. Avoid unnecessary driving around the campground. Supervision of Children: Children are to be supervised at all times. Children under 18 years of age may not be left at the Campground without responsible adult supervision (18 years or older). Tools, Equipment: No high powered tools or equipment, including chain saws, are permitted. Trash: Please don’t litter. Plastic trash bags are available, without charge, at the Trading Post. When filled they should be placed in the receptacles near the dump stations. Cigarette butts and gum wrappers are litter too. Vegetation: Be kind to our vegetation. NO nails in trees. NO cutting timber for firewood. Vehicles: Only two vehicles per site. Other vehicles may be kept in parking area near the Ranger Station. Visitors: Members are limited to a maximum of 10 people per site including those in their reservation. Member must Pre-Register all visitors with the Trading Post or Office prior to inviting their guests. Visitors who do not arrive with the member will be charged a $5.00 vehicle fee per day and receive a car pass. Walking Through Sites: Please don’t walk across other occupied sites. An occupied site is another member’s “home.” Wi-Fi: Hot spot is available at the Member’s Lounge. Washing: of RVs and vehicles is prohibited. NO No skateboards, scooters, hoverboards or any ATV’s are permitted in park. Electric Vehicles may NOT be charged anywhere in our campground.
