Twin Lakes RV Resort Guidelines

Welcome to Chocowinity, North Carolina, home of Twin Lakes RV Resort. For your safety and comfort, we ask your assistance in observing these rules.

1. We reserve the right to discharge any persons for failure to abide by campground regulations.

2. Please observe our park speed limit of 5 M.P.H.

3. Our quiet hours are 11:00PM to 7:00AM. Campfires must never be left unattended. All persons under the age of 18 must be on their sites by 11:00PM, unless accompanied by a responsible adult that is 18 years of age or older. Parents are responsible for the safety and actions of their children. When arriving, all visitors must register at the Office.

4. Check-in time is 2:00PM for all campsites and rental units. Check-out time is 1:00PM for campsites and 11:00AM for Cabins or Duplexes. Please do not arrive earlier unless you have checked with the Camp Store staff. A fee may be applied for early arrival. We do not guarantee a particular site or unit.

5. In order to rent a campsite, cabin or duplex, there must be one responsible adult 21 years of age or older in the party. No smoking allowed in Duplexes or Cabins. Pets must be pre-approved by Management. Cabins and Duplexes must be cleaned and all personal items removed from the unit at check-out. Additional charges will be incurred if the following procedures are not completed.

a. Return Key to office.

b. Remove all trash to dumpster located near park entrance.

c. Evidence of smoking (minimum charge of $50.00)

6. All vehicles must have a parking pass hanging from the rearview mirror. Cars without a current pass will be towed at owner’s expense. Boats/watercraft and trailers must be registered with the Office and parked in a designated Storage area and not on campsites. Your vehicle could be towed if you fail to do so or block off access to a campsite.

7. Please dispose of your garbage in our dumpsters located near the entrance of our park. Only household trash should be disposed of in our dumpsters. Please keep your sites free of debris, cans, bottles, and other litter.

8. Our Park caters to families and we are committed to providing a wholesome atmosphere to children and adults alike. Our Park has been declared a DRUG FREE PARK. No illegal drugs allowed! Alcoholic beverages are prohibited throughout the park except on campsites and must not be in open display.

9. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times and in such a manner as to prevent being aggressive or a nuisance to others. Please clean up behind your pets. Pets are not to be left outside of one’s unit unattended. No permanent pet fencing or kennels allowed.

10. Campers may swim at their own risk in the pool. Pool hours are 10:00AM until dusk. Please observe our swimming rules as posted (i.e. no glass, no diving, running, horseplay, etc.) Children under the age of 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. No one under the age of 18 is allowed in the Hot Tub. Swimming in any lakes, ponds, or canals is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

11. Excessive vehicular riding and loud music within the park is prohibited. No Gas-Powered Golf Carts, ATVs, Go-Karts, or Gas Powered Scooters are allowed in the park. Licensed motorcycles only.

12. Electric motorized bikes are permitted, ages 16 and under must wear a helmet. Guests who are physically challenged are also permitted to have a motorized bike after completing the proper paperwork and receiving a park authorization decal.

13. Golf carts are permitted for guests that have visited the office to obtain a park authorization decal. Transients are allowed golf carts for a charge of $5 per night or $25 for the year. You must have insurance on your golf cart and bring proof of insurance upon checking in. If a person is handicapped, the nightly or yearly fee can be waived. Only persons who possess a valid driver’s license or learners permit with an adult over the age of 21 years old will be permitted to drive the golf cart.

14. No bicycle riding after dusk unless you have a front headlight and a rear reflector. No bike riding over the bridge! Children 16 years and younger must wear helmets.

15. We are not liable for theft, vandalism, injuries, or acts of God occurring during your stay.

16. No refunds due to inclement weather.

17. Fireworks, firearms, crossbows/bows, knives over 4” long, tasers, stun guns and any other weapon not allowed by NC Statue G.S. 14-288.8(c) are prohibited.

18. No obnoxious or offensive activity shall be allowed in any area of the Park, including the campsite. No washing of dishes or cooking utensils in the bathhouses. Do not dump grey water on the ground.

19. Help us maintain our natural state by not defacing, cutting, driving nails into or attaching objects to trees, bushes or light poles.

20. The following flags are allowed to be displayed at your site and throughout the campground/resort; Canadian and American military (including Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard), POW/MIA, veterans, sports teams, and decorative flags such as holiday, seasonal, or garden.
