From critically acclaimed musicals, iconic nostalgic pop culture favorites to a Pulitzer Prize-Winning musical, Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) is bringing Broadway back this September with a full week of celebration, leading to the opening night of Chicago The Musical. As a premier entertainment destination in the Valley, ABT provides not-tobe missed musical theatre performances with national and local performers and casts.

Chicago, the longest running American musical and a winner of six (6) 1997 Tony Awards(R) is a universal tale filled with greed, corruption and one show-stopping hit after another. Elf The Musical returns by popular demand and is the perfect holiday outing for the whole family.

Gypsy, with its unforgettable songs including “Let Me Entertain You” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” begins 2022. Flashdance

The Musical, Ghost The Musical, Nickelodeon’s

The Spongebob Musical, and Happy Days: A New Musical will light up the stage for the remainder of the season. This blockbuster season includes “offBroadway” shows. Urinetown is a musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, and social responsibility. With the success of ABT’s 2021 summer youth production of Godspell, Urinetown will also be performed by a youth cast. The 2010 Pulitzer Prize-Winning musical Next to Normal has haunting melodies and explores how one household copes with crisis and mental illness.

Beyond the stage, ABT’s HyRev and summer Academy for Young Performers programs return for kids and teens. ABTCares and ABT’s Millennial Club will also begin this season.
