Development on Green Belt
Proposed Housing Developments in Mosley Common
The highly controversial “Places for Everyone” development plans (formally known as the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework), have released a proposal for the development of 1100 houses on the land North of Mosley Common, land which is currently Green Belt.

The development's consultation phase (which closed on the 3rd of October) allowed residents to “have their say” on the plans, however after extensive independent door to door dialogue, it was highlighted that residents knew little or nothing of the proposed development plans.
On Friday the 1st of October, a residents’ meeting was held. Conservative MP James Grundy, Labour councillors Barry Taylor; Paula Wake eld; Christine Lillian; Joanne Marshall, and circa 50 residents attended the event - all party representatives advised that they do not support these plans.
Due to the lack of information provided by PfE and Wigan council, residents took it upon themselves to create an opposition community group - distributing lea ets, informing residents through door-to-door discussions and contacting various parties who could provide guidance and advice.
Although the deadline for the rst consultation phase has passed, if the plans are approved, residents will still have an opportunity to oppose the scale of development during the second consultation. The volume of objections does make a di erence, so it is strongly encouraged that people get involved and have their opinions heard before it is too late.

Dream Doors provide customers a unique alternative to kitchen replacement.
While we do offer complete kitchen installations, we’ve made our name through kitchen makeovers, in many cases offering our customers significant savings over other kitchen manufacturers and suppliers. We achieve this by working with each customer individually to build a kitchen that exactly meets their needs.
A common misconception is that lower prices mean a cheaper alternative, whereas the products we supply are often vastly superior to our competitors. We achieve this by where possible, retaining existingstructures, in some cases only suppling the doors, in others we replace appliances, worktops and floors to achieve the desired finish. In each case we work closely with our customers to find the right balance.
Our doors and worktops are made to measure, appliances and sinks come from top name suppliers, combine these and you’ve got the recipe for a kitchen makeover that could save you as much as 50% off a full kitchen replacement, installed in as little as two days. “You don’t build a conservatory by first knocking down the house”, why should it be any different with a new kitchen?
