The past two months have been very challenging for us as a Company and we have made internal changes which have all lead to a better more productive team. Both very busy jobs but we are confident that Joyce and Diane will manage these with great enthusiasm. We have a number of new officers including Natalie and Jason and we continue to grow at a steady pace. As well as our administration and medical teams, I am also delighted to welcome a number of new clients. We are delighted to providing OH support to Orion Rail, Murdoch MacKenzie and J & D Services. What all these companies have in common is their commitment to their employees and we look forward to working in parternship with them over the coming months. This month we are also pleased to have extended our services to Amazon.co.uk and now provide flu vaccinations throughout the UK. We are now officially in the peak of our business but this is an exciting time. Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 If a Manager knowingly allows an employee under the influence of drugs to continue working and their behaviour places themselves or others at risk, then they can be prosecuted.
Corporate Manslaughter & Corporate Homicide Act 2007 The Act sets out a new offence for convicting organisations where failure in the way activities are managed or organised results in a person’s death. Courts will look at management systems and practices across the organisation, providing a more effective means for prosecuting corporate failures to measure health & safety. The Law states that breaches of Health & Safety Regulations are breaches of criminal law and can result in fines, imprisonment or both.
