“Green and Glowy would be a good way to describe our wedding theme. We wanted it to be personable, but still feel lush!

Christina Shepherd and Lauren Henry met through a mutual friend on a birthday weekend getaway.

“The proposal was a mutual decision. No one really proposed although Lauren did get on one knee as a joke when we picked up our rings lol. We went into the city one day and decided to try some rings on and get some Japanese food. We walked out choosing exactly the opposite of what we both told each other we wanted and our rings actually match, both engagement and wedding bands, the only difference is mine is platinum and Lauren’s is yellow gold.”

“We designed our invitations together with our friend Kat, a graphic designer who has created several other friends’ invites. They were printed at Print Shop in Sydney. I also built a wedding website to house all information for the wedding that could be helpful and to manage RSVP’s for us.”

“Our advice for other couples planning their wedding is don’t wear heels and find a venue as cool as Tamburlaine. Crystal was amazing and so detail orientated – We could not have done it without her!”

“We are planning to honeymoon in Asia. After the wedding we had a week’s holiday in Melbourne and stayed at The Crown. It was very fancy!”

“A wedding day highlight was definitely the wine lol. We loved our cake. It was a beautiful white on the outside decorated with a white orchid but when we cut into it, it was rainbow! We also had an epic donut wall. We loved the venue’s deck which was styled with fairy lights and a lounge set-up. It was all beautiful and glowy and gorgeous. Oh! and our friend Emily made a speech that made everyone giggle which was very cool.
