ABOUT US Interstil is a Danish company and part of a leading Scandinavian furniture group with an annual turnover of approximately Mio. â‚Ź 90. The group is privately held by a group of well-established investors. Our subsidiaries in Sweden carry furniture and interior ranges for the Swedish market. We have an ambition to grow, primarily by expanding our partnerships with existing clients and secondly by creating long-term relations with new business partners in Australia, South Africa and South America. Our design, product development, sales and marketing activities take place in Scandinavia, while the actual production is carried out in our factories in China and other Asian countries. Additionally we have placed our production oversight, quality control, logistics and purchasing operations in our offices in China, Vietnam, and Malaysia, in order to bring these processes closer to the places of production. Many nationalities are represented among our employees, and this diversity contributes to our international culture and spirit. Nonetheless, we remain firmly rooted in the Danish traditions of furniture and design. Our employees assume the responsibility for providing the best advice and service possible. We have developed an organizational structure with a crosscutting management team, guaranteeing short communication channels and a strong business orientation.

HOW WE OPERATE Interstil is an international organization, where we believe in the benefit of cooperation across borders and qualifications to create optimal results every time. In all parts of our process – from design and product development to production, quality management, sales and marketing – we seek to unite our internal and external resources and strengths, to offer furniture and interior products for the design- and quality-conscious, global consumer.

Design and product development takes place in cooperation with internal and external designers with an international approach to design. Designers from Denmark and other European countries have a strong sense for international trends, and develop concepts, furniture and accessories with an appeal to the modern, global consumer.
Interstil operates with a key account strategy on leading accounts on both European and overseas markets. In close cooperation with our customers we can develop products and product series customized to each market’s needs and individual wishes.
Our Marketing Department always cooperate closely with internal and external designers, product developers and key account managers, and follows the whole process from idea to sale. Through close dialogue with designers, our marketing employees obtain a unique knowledge in trends and in the thoughts behind our products. Marketing always supports the whole organization with marketing material for both printed and digital medias. Furthermore, Marketing is responsible for updating our showrooms in Denmark, Sweden and China, where customers will be able to experience our furniture and accessories in a vivid housing environments.
The Interstil management is housed in our head office in Denmark, while Procurement, Production and Quality Management are housed in local organizations close to our production sites in China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Eastern Europe. That way, we want to achieve the best possible purchasing- and production processes, and by that to secure the best quality.
Our internal Design- and Product Development Department makes it possible to design customized furniture series and products.

We offer effective customer support thanks to our back-office units in Denmark and China who support our key account managers every day. As a unique opportunity our customers can outsource all purchase- and development functions to Interstil – from design to production and logistics.

All containers are controlled in compliance with the AQL-system. Our inline inspection and full-time QC employees ensure the detailed documentation and ensure that we always provide best-in-class services and customized packaging.
Due to our well-developed warehouse and Logistics Department, who masters effective management, Interstil offers customized warehouse- and logistics solutions that is state of the art WMS.
After the delivery, a team of assigned customer advisers are ready to serve our customers on each of our markets. The cooperation and close teamwork secure a wide knowledge and by that - the optimal backup.
In our Customer Service the staff speaks six languages – Danish, English, German, Spanish, Dutch, French and Swedish. Here, you will always get the help and support you need.

FURNITURE We design, develop and produce furniture in close collaboration with a diverse team of experienced, international design-lovers, who are thoroughly familiar with market conditions, mass production and retail. We are highly aware of international trends in fashion and furniture design, which we translate to a Scandinavian idiom that addresses the market’s demand for modern, commercially viable furniture and interior collections. Our work is deeply rooted in the scandinavian tradition of furniture and design, to which we add international tendencies within fashion and furniture design. We are passionate about what we do and we believe that a strategic partnership that covers the process from design, product development and production to quality assurance, purchasing, distribution and logistics leads to strong and successful solutions.

INTERIOR With every decor come interior accessories – lamps, vases, and pots that infuses the decor with personal style. Accessories follow fashion colors and styles, and are continually renewed. Our Swedish sister company has many years of experience with developing and producing interior products – always in cooperation with internal and external designers. The assortment is wide and contains different styles, that are tailored to ruling trends. We create accessories, that ads a personal touch to our furniture collection. Accessories that fits the entire home – from the hall to the living room and kitchen.

We have teamed up with a diverse group of design-lovers, bringing different views on design from all around the world. One of our unique trades is that we work closely together with our customers and our great team of different designers, to develop aesthetic usable pieces. The main focus is on creating and delivering creative solutions that will offer increased value to all parties. Our integrated cooperation at all stages of the product development from researchers, designers to product developers, assures an efficient design process and execution. We choose to work closely together with our customers, as it has taught us, that this method leads to the best results. RESPONSIBILITY We believe in taking responsibility, and we are a company with high standards in regards to conduct. We embrace our responsibilities as an international actor in a global world where most of our production takes place in low-income countries. We observe all rules and regulations, and we are a member of all relevant environmental organizations. All our employees are conscious of the great responsibility we have for ensuring that our products are manufactured in a way that shows consideration for employee welfare and for social and environmental conditions. In addition, we make sure that we use only environmentally friendly raw and finished materials. We operate the new EUTR law with our own due diligence system, which has been thoroughly tested by external auditors and a wide range of customers

As an integrated part of our process, we carry out testing and spot checking at our production plants. As a rule, we provide the plants with advice and guidance; in particular, when we enter into agreements with new production facilities, we explain the necessity for introducing certain rules and quality controls, and we assist with their implementation and ongoing control.
