A Little Bit About Me

Hi there! I’m Naufal Rifqi. A passionate person who loves visual communication, especially in branding, UI Design, and photography fields. Been in this field since 2016, i’ve worked with many brands and companies to help them communicate visually in both offline and online platforms. WWF Rimbang Baling Pop-up Book (2017)

In 2017 I’ve been given chance to work closely with WWF Indonesia team to be involved in their project. Taking role as an intern in one of design agency in Jakarta, Kamarupa Group. I was working to help the team develop the visual illustration for the book from the sketch to the ďŹ nal artwork.


This was one of my most exciting projects i’ve done in recent years. Working as an intern at Kamarupa Group.

I was given the opportunity to help the team developing the visual illustration for WWF Indonesia Rimbang Baling Pop-up Book.

Kopi Bligus (2018)

02.

Kopi Bligus is one of my most favourite project as i was given the liberty to create their visual identity design. Kopi Bligus has a strong Balinese value as it was a family buisness which the owner was originally came from Bali. The idea is to combine 'Jalak Bali' and 'Bagus' as the visual approach.


Bligus Coffee prioritize the resources of local coffee farmers. Bligus name is taken from the Balinese language 'Bli' which means brother and 'Good' which means good-looking or good. The development of logogram design is based on keyword of local and Bali. The Jalak Bali logo made with the one-liner style describe Bligus as a cafĂŠ with a local flavor but still had the elegant and straightforward vibes.

Beyond Photozine (2018)

Beyond Photozine was one of my self-assigned project initated back in 2018. Bringing up the issue about the impact of recent political turmoil and how the society (especially myself) responds to it. Taking ďŹ lm photography as the medium to ‘speak’ combined with paper engineering to bring that engaging feeling to the readers.


There’s more than meets the eye. Our life itself is more than just about races, religions, and fortunes. It’s Beyond.

This was the visualization of my thoughts about how recent political turmoils changes our social behaviour.


Our perspective of seeing and judging other people. The anxiety and fear of being jugded because of your looks, your race, and your beliefs. A Thoughts on how we easily being abused for the "gold, glory, and gospel".


Above all that, there's still a hope for a better future. A future where we lived in a perfect harmony, where we can respect each of our perspectives. A future of understanding instead of judging, despite there are still hatred sparks among us.


Maskoolin (2019)

Maskoolin is one of the longest running startup for men’s fashion ecommerce and media platform focusing on local brands. As one of their team i was dedicated to be able to initiate engaging visuals such as UI Design, Photography directing, to Campaign strategic planning.


As a part of Maskoolin team i was assigned to develop visual assets for the website, such as promotional banners, editorial photoshoot, product photoshoot, and all the stuffs related to visual needs.

Social media contents also be a part of my work which i was required to create engaging contents that are related to the audience. Working closely with the digital marketing team, i also help them n planning and strategizing the content we published.

As for editorial photoshoots, i work closely with Maskoolin brands and all the team involved. These editorial photos are used for Maskoolin social media and website needs.

BTN Tunas App Prototype (2019)

BTN as one of the largest National Bank in Indonesia is one i worked with recently. In this project i was asked to help them designing a mobile app prototype to help their customer who wants to start a small business to get funded quick and easy with no hassle.


My recent work for BTN is to design an app prototype for their funding platform focusing on micro business owner who needs to expand their businesses. The concept is to make a seamless, user friendly app that is easy to use but still maintaining the visual guideline of BTN.

There are some key features in the app such as Loan simulation, Loan calculator, and Branch finder to ease the user finding the nearest BTN representative Office.


Kearifan Lokal Playing Cards (2019)

Kearifan Lokal Playing Cards comes as a self-assigned project and also a campus assignment in my ďŹ nal year. Bringing up Indonesian trademark vernacular graphic as the visual with a playful approach.


The idea is to combine Indonesian popular vernacular graphic, with a playful slang language used. Kearifan Lokal Playing Card was made as my ďŹ nal year assignment that i was involved from the development to the ďŹ nal artwork phase.

Kaya Juice (2020)

07.

Kaya Juice is one of my most recent project in 2020. I was given the opportunity to work alongside as their Graphic Designer and also helping the Marketing Team. Most of my work for Kaya Juice are product photoshoots, content creating, and helps them directing the visual for the brand.


Joining the project as their graphic designer and also content creator. I was given the liberty to create and directing the visual for Kaya Juice’s online and offline campaign. The value of the brand itself is about sustainability and ‘no waste left in the proccess’. Kaya Juice also using the misfits fruit and veggies that looks ‘ugly’ because they believe it’s the taste that matters.

I was mostly involved in their content making from designing the visuals, directing the photography, and content planning for the social media.


Pala Nusantara Cocktail (2020)

08.

Pala Nusantara is the newest Jakarta based artisan wine and spirits producer that recently opens their distillery this year. I was asked to help them for their product photoshoot. More of their booze will come in no time soon!
