Bakery to close Dec. 20
Flowers Baking Co. operated in Opelika for nearly 90 years By Morgan Bryce Editor Opelika’s Flowers Baking Co. will cease operations on Dec. 20, 2019, because of production inefficiencies and decreased volume, according to General Manager Michael Lord. work and dedication. To assist during their transition, we’re providing a competitive severance package and offering job counseling and assistance through local and state See Flowers, page A3
