After closing in August due to cited labor shortages, the Opelika community staple Mrs. Story's Dairy Bar reopened its doors (or windows rather) to its hungry patrons. The news came as a
surprise to many and the Observer went on site to the already bustling Opelika lunch spot to hear what people had to say. "Looking forward to getting a milkshake," said one person waiting in line for his lunch. "We have been waiting on it [to reopen]. See HOT DOG!, page A3
The city of Opelika, in partnership with AO Tourism, Opelika Parks & Recreation, the Opelika Public Library, the Opelika Chamber of Commerce, Opelika Main Street, Victorian Front Porch Tour and Opelika Theatre Company, is excited to announce the Opelika 2021 holiday event lineup, now officially known as Opelika’s Very Merry Christmas.
