St. Paul & The Broken Bones St. Paul & The Broken Bones formed in 2012, releasing their debut album Half the City in 2014 and its follow up, 2016’s Sea of Noise, to much acclaim, placing them on the national scene. The band worked hard to prove they were no mere retro-soul band— from relentlessly touring, including opening for The Rolling Stones, headlining at the Ryman Auditorium, to TV appearances including The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Austin City Limits, and three appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In the band’s new album, Young Sick Camellia (RECORDS), St. Paul & The Broken Bones has created a space to rival any forward-thinking band making music today, based on a concept all-too familiar: family, and how we love them despite our differences.

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo was founded in 1974 by a group of ballet enthusiasts for the purpose of presenting a playful, entertaining view of traditional, classical ballet in parody form and en travesty. Les Ballets Trockadero first performed in the late-late shows in Off-Off Broadway lofts. The TROCKS, as they are affectionately known, quickly garnered a major critical essay by Arlene Croce in The New Yorker, and combined with reviews in The New York Times and The Village Voice, established the Company as an artistic and popular success. By mid 1975, the TROCKS’ inspired blend of their loving knowledge of dance, their comic approach, and the astounding fact that men can, indeed, dance en pointe without falling flat on their faces, was being noted beyond New York. Articles and notices in publications such as Variety, Oui, The London Daily Telegraph, as well as a Richard Avedon photo essay in Vogue, have made the company nationally and internationally known. The Beach Boys You can capsulize most pop music acts by reciting how many hits they’ve had and how many millions of albums they’ve sold. But these conventional measurements fall short when you’re assessing the impact of The Beach Boys. This band has birthed a torrent of hit singles like “Surfin’,” Good Vibrations” and “California Girls” and sold albums by the tens of millions. But its greater significance lies in the fact that The Beach Boys changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt. The Beach Boys continue to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut 40 years ago. Their Capitol Records release, Sounds of Summer, was double platinum with over two million in sales and climbing, marks a resurgence in Beach Boys interest that continues to rock the world.

A native of Brooklyn, Steve grew up in the multi-ethnic neighborhood of Sheepshead Bay, where he learned early on how to use his gift for imitating accents to his advantage. At age 55, he left his academic career behind and ventured into the business world. After a noble effort, a severe economic and emotional downturn, and his back to the wall, Steve turned his attention to his latent love of making people laugh. He created his first show, the three-time, award-winning My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish and I’m In Therapy! The show has been met with rave reviews to sold-out crowds throughout the country and overseas and has become one of the longest running one-man comedy shows in history.

America’s Favorite Cowboys Known as America’s Favorite Cowboys, Riders in the Sky have been entertaining audiences since the 70s. This Western music and comedy quartet—comprising Ranger Doug, Too Slim, Woody Paul and Joey the Cowpolka King—has revived and revitalized the genre of Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, taking it to new heights. They have won GRAMMY® awards, boast 35 years on the Grand Ole Opry, made more than 7,200 live appearances, been inducted in Western Music Association’s Hall of Fame, and have toured all 50 states as well as all over the world. The cowboy charisma and comedic flair made them naturals for TV, landing them their own weekly show on TNN and a Saturday morning series on CBS. They sang “Woody’s Roundup” in the movie Toy Story 2, which was followed by several projects for Disney, including two albums, both of which won Grammy Awards. With no signs of slowing down, they continue to produce episodes of the award winning “Classic Cowboy Corral” on Sirius/XM.

George Hinchliffe’s Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain This original musical ensemble features only ukuleles of various sizes and registers, accompanied by the natural voices of the performers. Best known for playing versions of famous rock songs and film themes, the Orchestra often changes these songs to subvert the expectations of the audience. Often a slow piece will follow a fast piece to maintain variety, and a rock song may be followed by classical music. The concept is that if a “level field” is maintained by playing only the one kind of instrument, then all kinds of music can be played quite easily without the variety appearing to be chaotic. With a mission to make something fresh and entertaining, modern and old-fashioned, audiences like the result. They have played for members of the British Royal Family, Houses of Parliament in London and have “Sold Right Out” twice at Carnegie Hall in New York, twice at The Royal Albert Hall in London, and also at Sydney Opera House in Australia.

Dala “Dala can sing! What beautiful flights of melody and harmony.” — Dennis O’Toole, The Peterborough Examiner Juno nominees and winners of the 2010 Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year, Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine of Dala write and sing in harmony best described as angelic. These two best friends who met in high school music class have since released five albums and toured extensively across North America. Darlings of the Canadian music scene, Dala is bringing a fresh brand of acoustic pop music to the world. Drawing upon influences like The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Bob Dylan, Dala writes songs that are both catchy and insightful. Amanda’s ethereal soprano voice blends seamlessly with Sheila’s velvety alto, creating the lush harmonies that have become their trademark. The sheer joy with which they perform is infectious, turning first-time listeners into instant fans. Dala is equally entertaining between songs, telling funny and down to earth stories that make every show unique. “We go to some emotional places in our music,” Walther says, “Humour serves as a relief from that, and a way to give the audience permission to laugh.” “The more spontaneous the dialogue between songs,” Carabine adds, “the better the performance and the more memorable the evening.”
