A Note from Michael
F
lorida State University’s College of Music students and faculty excel in numerous aspects of music, composition, and theory across genres, ethnic styles, and historical periods. Many of these attributes are demonstrated throughout the year in various performances under the College’s auspices. The above, notwithstanding, it’s hard to match the energy and excitement contained in the live performance of PRISM. Music is a language and mixing ensembles of different sizes and instrumentation, creates a lyrical multi-lingual experience of its own kind. Through the blending of sounds from traditional fare to current popular tunes, the vitality of this performance is hard to match. You won’t be disappointed in experiencing this local musical resource whether you’re “a veteran attendee, or this is your rookie season as an audience member.” Either way, you’re in for a treat! Thank you and enjoy the show.
Michael Blachly
