Since launching in 2010, Norwich Fashion Week has shone a spotlight on the vibrant, diverse fashion scene in Norwich. Through professional catwalk shows, career talks, creative workshops and bringing together independent, local boutiques with national and international fashion brands, it’s been a must-visit event for anyone with a passion for fashion.

➺Since 2015 OPEN has been the dedicated home of Norwich Fashion Week. More than 2,000 people attended the event in 2017, the team are really proud that over the years, the event has catapulted many emerging designers, models and new creative talents into exciting fashion careers. So, it’s with real regret that, as a voluntary, not-for-profit community interest company, NFW announces that the funding and sponsorship currently in place, will not cover the costs of next year’s event. Norwich Fashion Week fully intends to return to its OPEN home in the future, so watch this space! In the meantime, you can see the collaborative projects and fashion shoots NFW and OPEN continue to create at their new sister website Journal East. The new digital platform launched this month to showcase fashion and creativity across the eastern region at journaleast.co.uk

The shop will also provide 'smart' clothes for any occasion that young adults (16-30) can borrow for job interviews or similar occasions. This is aimed at those who could not otherwise acquire suitable clothing. Customers will be able to donate items of clothing* and accessories they no longer need and if they want, to swap for items of the same value. The other purpose of this shop is to give young people the skills and confidence to progress into employment by offering retail work experience placements in a supportive environment. *Items of clothing need to be new or nearly new.

PLEASE DO VISIT NEW-U WHICH CAN BE FOUND ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF CASTLE MALL IN NORWICH.

SWAP BORROW EXPERIENCE.... New-U is a clothing and accessories shop with a difference. The New-U shop is unique in that it will operate on the basis of donate, swap or loan and no cash transactions will be made but will operate using a voucher system. Each item will be given a value and customers will be able to swap or loan items based on their value.
