We’d like you to meet a couple of our young people whose lives have been changed for the better because of the facilities and activities our youth charity OPEN Youth Trust has to offer them…
JADE Jade first came to open to meet new people and pursue dance, after being “left out of friendship groups at school”. After taking part in dance and drama at OPEN says she has “gained huge amounts of confidence, I’ve been boosted up in every way possible.” Jade says “If I hadn’t come to OPEN, I would have no confidence, and I wouldn’t have nearly as many friends as I do now. I love coming and seeing my OPEN family, which are my friends There’s so much to do here to suit different people.”
VIOLET Violet takes part in various groups in OPEN’s music programme, including the Hive-Mind music promotion group. She first started in November 2018, and in just that time she says “it has helped me to build up confidence and to include my ideas! I’ve also met lots of lovely people through OPEN.” She says “OPEN is a lovely environment, and the people are very welcoming. I also love having the opportunities to put my ideas into various activities and events”, She says other young people should come to OPEN as “it’s a brilliant chance to socialise with new people! It’s really fun you should definetly come”.
