Le chant des couleurs Jean-Franรงois Larrieu
In French artist Jean-François Larrieu’s works, the primary motifs of the works come from the beautiful scenery of the Pyrénées where he was born and raised. He draws his inspiration from the colours of the land, his travels and his childhood. The sunlight on natural landscapes and colours gives the painter a deep need of expression which he translates through his canvas. Thus, he unfolds a world of beautiful, elegant, delightful dreams. Marying nature and architecture into vivid, colourful forms, Jean-François Larrieu’s joyful way of portraying dense urban spaces suggests a reaffirmation of literal and figurative roots. In Jean-François Larrieu’s dreamful canvas, unveiling a feast of beautiful hues, an infusion of magic and musical cadence transports the viewer into the land of imagination and utopia. ‘Le Chant des couleurs’ is Jean-François Larrieu’s second exhibition this year through Opera Gallery’s network. The artworks created for this show, display cities and nature through a colourful eye. Opera Gallery Beirut is proud to affirm its support to bright and such artist and his positive vision of life.
