Reception Area/ Desk Waiting Area Feature Display Showcasing Single Designer Fabric Display Area Powder Room for Workers with Public Access

Back of House Features:

Receiving and Storage Area with Passthrough to Gallery Office Overlooking Gallery

The Story:

Client approached me to design a mid-century and avant garde thematic space for a new concept gallery he was opening. The focus of the new gallery was to showcase award winning and unique product design focused on furnishings and lighting. Each featured designer is to be showcased in defined space that will rotate products each quarter. These spaces were designed in order to provide a “structure within structure concept. The ceiling of the gallery is a stretch ceiling with a sky/ cloud print which is illuminated in order to provide an indoor outdoor experience. I designed extrusion lighting throughout the fabric feature wall to provide hidden downlighting to maximize the textural elements of the fabric. The intent of the gallery is to bring a bold, forward thinking design approach to Rochester. The use of natural colors is offset by displays that provide pops of color with seating areas strategically placed throughout the gallery. Most importantly, seductive elements are utilized to intrigue and lure the clientele to explore areas further.

Tiny Home Full Kitchen with Island for 3 Outdoor Hosting Area Fire Place Living Room - Seats 4 1st Floor Powder Room Master Bedroom with Queen Size Bed and Dual Night Stands Master Bathroom with Double Sink and Standing Shower Ample Storage

The Story:

Client was interested in designing a vacation home on a lakeview property owned by her family where she used to vacation during the summers as a child. Her intention was to celebrate the outdoors while blending modern design in a manner that would not compete with the scenery. The dimensions of the home is 18’ x 18’ which includes two levels. The design challenge was to create a space with many features in a highly constrained space which also showcased the 18’ ceiling. The client requested styling that conformed both rustic and modern concepts. This included light tones, textures, light nutral colors, light blue and wood elements throughout.
