OI China PRAYER LETTER April 2013
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” ~ Matt 28:6 (NIV)
It was an honour to meet with Ms Michele Sullivan, President of the Caterpillar Foundation, in Peoria, Illinois, during the visit of Aaron White, CEO of OI China, at the end of March. Aaron thanked the Foundation for their strong support.
The latest operation of OI China in Huai’an is making an impact through its unique Mobile Banking Services, which accesses the most remote rural areas. Currently there are 5 main stops every trip, servicing 1/3 of the Huai’an District; that is approximately 5,000 km2.
Praises & Thanksgivings: •
Praise the Lord for His resurrection that has bought us salvation and hope.
•
Thanks to the support of OIUS for their arrangement of meetings during the visit of OI China’s CEO in March. Thanks to God for linking us with so many wonderful and kind supporters. We are touched by their commitment to serve the poor alongside Opportunity, as well as their sincere encouragement.
•
Thank God that the meeting between OIC and OTI was a success. May the Lord continue to guide the hearts of the leaders of Opportunity, that they can bring love and peace to every corner of the earth.
•
Praise God for the wonderful education and transformational work going on at the Azusa Pacific University. Many students are searching for a way to serve and make an impact to the community. It was a real privilege for CEO Aaron White to be invited to share the microfinance work of OI China with the class.
Prayer Requests: •

Please pray for the preparation of our new co-workers who wish to serve in rural China. May the Lord grant them peace as they prepare to adapt to the new work, living environment and language. Pray for the preparation of 2013 OI China Internship Program. Pray that this year’s program can bring another success in training the young and equipping them with the skills to serve the poor. Please pray for the forthcoming Thanksgiving Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of OI China. We pray that His name would be exalted through the work of OIC. It is He who made us and enables us to serve the poor. By His Grace we are able to hold on to this Thanksgiving.
