Client Zhang Qingling used to work at a tile factory. As the breadwinner hurt his back during an injury his family became desperate. Mr Zhang came to OIC with four of his friends and took out a five-member group loan. Upon completion of start-your-business training he built a small farm of free range chicken. He is now a happy man and often assists OIC to support other new chicken farmers.
Mr. Geoffrey Kells, Chairman of OI China, was awarded Order of Australia Medal on the Australia Day, 26 January. His kind and continuous support of humanity and international affairs earned him this official recognition of the Australian Govt and community. Order of Australia or OAM is a very special honour granted to people who has contributed to services worthy of particular recognition. It is approved by the Governor-General of Australia.
Praises & Thanksgivings: •
Thank God for His guidance and keeping. On 27 January the Municipal Government of Suqian issued OI China (Suyu) with the ‘Most Outstanding Micro-Credit Company of 2010’ Award during its annual finance conference. A financial reward of RMB 47,000 (USD 7,300) is also granted to OIC as an encouragement of the impact on rural community. This is the second consecutive year that OI China being granted this Award.

Praise God, our accountant, Crystal Mu, gave birth to her son on 25 January. Crystal joined OIC Anhui one year ago and has been a key member of our team. We are all very excited for Crystal.

As China celebrates its Luna New Year (2 – 9 February), we take this opportunity to thank God for His keeping and guidance. We also wish our readers and prayer partners blessings in the “Year of Rabbit”!

Please pray for the preparation and travel safety of the directors as they come from all over the world to attend the Board of Directors meeting in Hong Kong between 21 and 22 February.
