Interns of OIC for Summer 09 (from left to right) Aurora, Miljana and Nate all arrived from the US safely. They will be learning about OIC microcredit business in the next 6 to 8 weeks. As part of the team OI China, they will help to conduct OIC Summer English Camp for our clients’ children in Anhui and Jiangsu provinces.
Following a broken marriage Shen Yupin and her little daughter could barely make a living on her hand knitting jobs. With a small loan from OI China she bought a knitting machine and changed everything since 2003. Now she runs two knitting workshops with 9 employees. More importantly, she knows that Jesus loves her and she has eternal life.
Praises & Thanksgivings: • Praise the Lord that our prayer request for bank leverage was granted! The China Construction Bank, one of the four major State banks, signed agreement to allow us expanding our operation through a 1:2 fund-lending leverage ratio in Anhui, from 24 June. OI China also thanks the bank officers for their consideration of the poor community and giving us this excellent facility. •
Give thanks to our Father for the safe arrival of our interns from the US. OI China will conduct comprehensive and hands-on internship training for Aurora, Miljana and Nate to learn about microfinance in China. Each of them will hand in one major assignment plus two field work reports for assessment. They will also help our training and development department to conduct the OIC Summer English Camp for the children of our clients in Hefei and Suyu.

Thanks to the love of St Ives Christ Church, Australia, and our brother, Peter Fish, for his generous gift of 20 notebook computers. While we are developing and expanding the business OIC has an urgent need for proper business equipment. God is with us and satisfies our needs in His time.

Thanksgiving and praise be to God for the third anniversary of the opening of OI Jiangxi operation. We shared OIC testimony and celebrated this day with humble heart in Nanchang on 25 June.

Pray for the preparation of the Summer English Camp which is due to start 1 July. We need the Lord’s guidance and blessings in the development of our governance and fundraising board in HK. The board will strategise and meet the long term financial and people needs of China. Please pray for the full recovery of Joseph, Ann and Sunny from the common flu.
