OI China PRAYER LETTER March 2011

"Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter? When you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?" ~ Isaiah 58:7 (NIV)

The new business team for Shuyang County, Suqian, was established during the month of February. The team is led by Simon Han (third left). While the office is being fitted the team works from the new dormitory in a nearby residential area. This is the second official ‘cross-district’ operation, next to Sucheng District establishment, of the OI China Suqian business.

Client Wei Jun operates a small welding and fabrication workshop in Hefei. He lost one arm during an explosion at the factory he worked for few years ago. As the loan of OI China also equipped him for the business management training he started his small business with confidence and created two jobs for young apprentices. Mr Wei is a happy entrepreneur in Hefei now. His wife and son are very proud of his transformation.

Praises & Thanksgivings: •

Praise the Lord for His blessings, the Board of Directors Meetings for OI China and OIHK both went smoothly and completed with fruitful results. The directors all returned safely.

Thank God that the 10 chicken farmers in Suyu, whose businesses suffered from the flood last September, all recovered completely. Through the arrangement of deferring their loan repayments and the issuance of additional jump-start loans these farmers were able to get back on their feet quickly. Through this incident they also learned to reorganise their chicken sheds to avoid further flood damages. They also learned about the vision and mission of OI China and committed to serve others when they can in the future.

Thanks to the support of our friends in HK, the first dinner of Board of Advisors was held in the evening of 22 February at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. Thanks especially to Mr David Sih for his excellent suggestion and coordination which made this event possible.

Prayer Requests: •

Please remember in your prayer the following staff members and their families of OIHK and OI China: o o o

Pray for the health of our OIHK staff Arun Makhija. He is recovering from a surgery operation. Pray for the health of Zhu Huan Huan, daughter of our loan officer in Anhui, Pan Hongling. Huan Huan is physically weak and mentally stressed as she prepares for college entrance exam in July. Pray for Eric, as he is taking on new responsibilities of General Manager Suqian. May the Lord strengthen him and guide him. Most important, show him that the Lord is our Sovereign God..
