Praise the Lord, the Thanksgiving Celebration of OI China Tenth Anniversary was held in Suyu with the attendance of representatives from OIUS, OI Australia, OI Singapore, OIHK, the GMO, Caterpillar Foundation, the US Consulate General in Shanghai and various levels of Chinese government offices of Jiangsu Province and local governments.
Client Wang Meng born in a poor family. He went out to work in the southern Jiangsu as soon as he finished junior high school. After he returned to Suyu he tried to set up his own toy factory. With a loan from OI China he started with 8 workers to make soft toys in 2011. Today, he exports his toys and employs 60 people including disabled.

Praise the Lord for His guidance and provisions that OI China can celebrate its 10th anniversary with thanksgiving. More than 20 international visitors joined the local staff and government officials in this special occasion in Suyu. When the government officials commended the impact made by OI China all the staff in OI China humbly gave honour and glory to our God in heaven.

Please pray for the health and safety of people living in China. The recent outbreak of H7N9 bird flu has infected 127 people to-date and caused 24 deaths. The Chinese health authority is taking precaution and stopped many of the markets from handling livestock of poultry. Pray for the residents of Ya’an, Sichuan Province, who were hit by a magnitude-7 earthquake on 20 April. While the Government is doing all it can to help to settle the victims and rebuild the housings and infrastructure of the county local residents are concerned that the raining season is approaching quickly. Usually there are heavy rains in the region from May to September each year.
